I always encourage letting out your thoughts and feelings while going through this kind
of ordeal.
I have met so many people recently going through treatment with a child or that know someone that is going through treatment recently. These brave souls have much to endure & so much to offer. They are courageous & sometimes end up consoling us during their ordeal. I know because there were times when Todd consoled me. He would make me laugh or tell me he loved me out of the blue because he knew that I was scared for him. Todd lived every moment to it's fullest right up until he took his last breath. So, I have decided I will make the most of mine & make sure that somehow my life will make a difference just as Todd's did. He touched so many people in such a short time as do most children that are suffering from a life threatening disease. They have such strength & it's amazing to see how they manage to get through it all.
Also know that just as there are many kinds of adult cancers so are there many kinds of childhood cancers. For example; leukemia, brain tumors, neuroblastoma & alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma to name a few. I have also added a link to The Candlelighters on
