Here
are some pics of a project I've been working on for a liitle while - converting
my old Tippmann Pro-Lite to dual bottles. I bought a Mini-Lite adapter,
which would have changed it from bottom line to verticle bottle.
I then replaced the standard Tippmann ASA in the grip with a conventional
ASA (one with 1/8" NPT threads), and ran a steel braided hose to the Mini-Lite
adapter. From the other side of the Mini-Lite adapter, I ran a new
steel braided hose to the air source input on the marker's valve.
Now I can run the marker with either 2 bottles, or a bottle in either ASA
(as long as I plug the ASA that is not being used). I even have it
worked out so that I have a gas-through grip (with a plugged bottom) which
I run in the front ASA, and a remote on the bottom line. Hey, I'm
just glad I got rid of those old, junky, Tippmann compression-fit airlines
and replaced them with steel! Now everything is 1/8" NPT, not those
mongrel threads Tippmann uses! The marker has a SmartParts Teardrop
barrel.
Tippmann Pro-Lite Final Pics
Here is my Pro-Lite after powder
coating. The marker body, barrel, and foregrip are all dark green-
black, with a bit of a fade to black on the barrel. The other parts
are plain dark green. I was shooting for a two-tone look. As
I don't have any transluscent green powder (yet), I was kind of limited
to what I could do. Like the Edge, this also has a high gloss clear
coat.
