In these shots you can see the finished millwork. In the first shot I rolled up yellow paper and inserted it into the top and bottom tubes to make it easier to see the through-body milling. If you look close in the middle picture, you can see where I made a little boo-boo. I broke one of my cardinal rules about not milling where there are threads, and I removed too much material. I think I am going to through-body mill that little section. Even though it will totally remove the threads in that area, I am hoping that there is enough structural integrity in the rest of the threads to securely hold the barrel in place.
Powdercoating is done, but unfortunately my cheap digital camera is not doing a very good job catching the color. I did a fade powdercoat - first a coat of chrome, then a coat of transluscent purple (just like on my Edge), then I dusted the back of the gun with transluscent blue. The blue over the purple made a sort of dark purple color, but if the light hits it just right, you can see the blue. Then to top it all off, a coat of high gloss clear. As soon as I get some good digital pics, I will get them up here.
