Nations and City-States
Allaria, the Great Kingdom
- Fred's home country was first introduced as the
Great Kingdom in ep.#1303 (3/29/99) by WolfRun
- it was given the name Allaria with ep.#1855 (5/29/99) by MSG.
Allaria is the greatest kingdom in the region. Her only real rival is the Kingdom of Hespan. The
Kingdom is made up of many duchies and so the King must always keep in mind the needs of his vassal
Dukes as well as the needs of the country at large.

Caemlyn is the capitol of Allaria.

The overlord of Suffex is Fred's father. The House D'Honaire is an old and respected family with strong ties to the King.

A keep of Suffex and home of Duke Dred's brother-in-law.

The overlord of Trescent is Duke Zular Mollari and the ducal seat is at Obsallom.
- Lordship of North Umbria - first mentioned in ep.# 1518 (4/29/99) by Traveler.
Unlike the duchies of Allaria (which have a certain amount of autonomy from the King), lordships are fiefs which are under the direct control of the King. North Umbria lies on Allaria's eastern border.
- Croix Keep -
A castle-fort of North Umbria. Ruled by Lord Croix, the keep serves to defend Allaria's borders near the Fens of Canmoor.

Collins is the only coastal duchy of the Great Kingdom. Its overlord is Duke Barnabas Collins and the ducal seat is at Collinsport.

The overlord of Farmoor is Duke Roger Farmoor.

This Duchy lies south of the Kingdom's capitol and borders Lower Hazzard. It's overlord is Duke Bo, cousin to Duke Luke.

This Duchy lies south of the Kingdom's capitol and borders Upper Hazzard. It's overlord is Duke Luke, cousin to Duke Bo.

A major roadway within Allaria, it connects the coastal Duchy of Collins to the interior regions of the Great Kingdom.

The Crest Road runs from Allaria into Gelda where it meets up with the Na'Wynd Hove and the Tumbar roads.

Hespan is Allaria's greatest political rival. Hespan is primarily a sea power and has the largest sea going fleet of any country in the region. Hespan is also the only colonial power, with colonies far to the south in Nom Malbra and the Bokh'ainer Archipelago.

A jungle region that lies to the south of Aqualaria, the Hespans control a network of cities and fortifications which are all dedicated to maintaining and extending Hespan control over the rich silver mines in the area.
Aqualaria - first mentioned in ep.# 38 (2/13/99) by L.E.
Currently ruled by Queen Maia, Aqualaria is famous for its force of amazon she-warriors. The Shreken Mountains divide Allaria from Aqualaria. The Aqualarians refer to the Southern Caves as the Northern Caves. The Aqualarian nation has been portrayed in three basic ways;
1) as a Matriarchy in which men are second class citizens
2) as a Matriarchy in which men are slaves and servants
3) as a nation in which equality of the sexes has been achieved and women and men recognize each other
as equals.

This is the capitol city of Aqualaria and lies at the mouth of the Bay of Tolomei.

This nation lies along Allaria's eastern border.
Califinie / Califie - introduced in ep.# 1351

Califinie, also called Califie, lies west of the Southern Caves (and refers to them as the Eastern Caves) in
the crook where the Goth Mountains meet the Shreken Mountains.
Cogan - first mentioned in ep.# 1188 (3/23/99) by WolfRun.
This tiny nation shares borders with both Allaria and Aritaine. The citizens of Cogan are not fond of the Great Kingdom.
Elmeria - introduced in ep.# 3415 (8/7/99) by JH.
Ruled by King Geoffrey, Elmeria is a coastal nation that lies some 800 miles away from Aqualaria.

Gana is the former home of the evil Anna Flair.

Gelda is mostly a flat land of many plains and shallow rivers and is home to a people of formidable horse riders. To the south she lies along the Shreken. Her western border is shared with Allaria. Gelda suffered an insurrection by anti-monarchists recently in its past.

This wide plain runs from the foothills of the Shreken where the Tumbar Road begins to the border of Allaria in the west.

Gilgil lies somewhere in the Arabi Desert and is built around an oasis.

MalBoncton is a country of the southlands and shares a border with Aqualaria.

Walants is a "shadow" city within the country of MalBoncton. It is run by a criminal organization and it's
only purpose is to trade in illegal goods and services.

The Calamari Desert borders this kingdom on its northern side, the Carpathia Mountains lie along its western edge. The spice caravans of the Near West travel through Mornom, but so too do the Hillmen of the Carpathia.
Salmonshire Confederacy - introduced in ep.#

The Confederacy lies just north of MalBoncton. It is a patchwork of autonomous shires. The unifying
principles of the Confederacy include a belief in equality under one law and that making money is the
Way to Enlightenment. The Confederacy has no royalty or aristocracy.
The Three Kingdoms - first mentioned in ep.# 129 (3/9/99) by WolfRun.
Almost half of Allaria's western border is shared with the Three Kingdoms. This poses no threat to either nation though since the two countries are each others' staunchest allies.

This independent city is found on the edge of the Calamari near the borders of Mornom. It is famous for its gambling halls and loose women.

Shreken Mountains

The Southern Caves are found in this mountain range. The range itself stretches from the Aryn Ocean in
the east to the Gap in the west. The Gap is an open plain that lies between the Shreken and the Carpathia
Mountain ranges.

This forest is found in Allaria and lies at the foot of the Shreken just below the pass that leads to the Southern Caves.
Goth Mountains - introduced in ep.# 2551

A mountain range that branches off of the Shreken, the Goth runs diagonally northeast-southwest.
The Goth is said to be the home of many Dark Things and those that live nearby do so uneasily. It is also
the home of Minestus the Dragon Mage in some storylines.

This mountain peak lies to the east of Allaria and is the home of Belboz the Fell (an alternate version of Belboz the Necromancer).
Bay of Tolomei - first mentioned in ep.# 1930 (5/31/99) by Y.
Aqualaria's largest bay, most of her ports lay along this seaway.
Bokh'anier Archipelago - first mentioned in ep.# 1308 (3/27/99) by WolfRun.
This string of islands lies off the coast of Nom Malbra. The largest island in the chain, Caibu is under the control of Hespan. But the other islands are mostly used by the pirates that infest the sea lanes there.

This island is located within the Bokh'anier Archipelago and is home to a secret pirate base.
Calamari Desert - introduced in ep.# 235 (3/6/99) by Lots42.
This burning desert lies to the north of Allaria. While life can be found along its borders, it is said that nothing can survive within the heart of the Calamari.
Frozen Wastelands of the North - introduced in an option of ep.# 1157 (3/13/99) by Emperor Cartagia.
Little is known of this land. Stories of Giants, Ice Kingdoms and the like are bandied about, but who really knows?
Sweltering Jungles of the South - introduced in an option of ep.# 1157 (3/13/99) by Emperor Cartagia.
It is said that this jungle make up southern Aqualaria.
Arabi Desert - first mentioned in ep.# 1306 (3/27/99) by Colonel.
This large desert lies to the west of the Carpathia Mountains and is home to caravans and camels.
Aryn Ocean - first mentioned in ep.# 1307 (3/27/99) by WolfRun.
This is the great ocean which lies to the east of Allaria.
Tarel Ocean -

This great ocean lies to the south of the Aryn Ocean. The southern jungles of Nom Malbra and the islands of the Bokh'anier Archipelago are found within the boundaries of the Tarel Ocean.
Arden Sea - first mentioned in ep.# 1725 (5/17/99) by WolfRun.
Also known as the Midnight Sea, this sea is found to the northwest of Allaria and borders the Arabi Desert. It is said that an ancient waterway somewhere beyond the Calamari Desert connects the Arden with the Aryn.

These lands lie beyond the northern wastes and are guarded by orcs.
