So this week has been pretty nuts
So last saturday about half of my family went to this museum in norfolk. 20 of us, no kidding. This was pretty uneventful except for this story:
So the museum is one of those naval things with the big ww2 ship outside. The U.S.S. Wisconsin, right? So my uncle walks into the gift shop with my grandfather, who takes a seat after a long day of walking. My uncle walks over to the wall where they have a few balsa cut out things of famous ships... like, a cut out thing where you can see inside all the cabins and whatnot. So there's the Titanic, and the Constitution, and a few U.S.S. Wisconsins.... and the U.S.S. Alan M. Sumner, my grandfather's ship in the war. Now, don't get me wrong. My grandfather's ship did nothing special, not like the constitution or the titanic or whatever. no significance at all. Just sheer coincidence. So we bought it for him. How weird is that?
On Sunday Ashley and I went to Nido's... except it was closed so we went to Giovanni's in time for the last like, 30 minutes before closing. that was kind of fun.
On Monday Jackie, Walt, Kristina, Houtz, Ashley and I went to D.C. The highlight was going to the national gallery where we saw the Dada exhibit... And an original Dali. that was tres cool.
Thursday we had a concert. It was kind of gross, actually.
Which brings me to today. Another Friday. Nothing to do. Save me next friday, please?
Love and kisses,
Andrew
