·         Maintain a strong network of contacts with key opinion leaders including industry specialists and key decision-makers within the various customer segments and feedback channels to know what the market wants.

·         Ensure that feedback obtained from clients and market participants are acted upon effectively and efficiently.

·         Initiate communication efforts with the Group Business Development Unit to keep them abreast with the latest information relating to new market, product and services

·         Co-ordinate and properly manage the working relationship between the staff reporting to this role for effective execution of operations

·         Identify and manage operational risks associated with product development activities

·         Keep abreast and be knowledgeable with latest development on matters relating to exchange-traded products and the performance of other exchanges with respect to their specific products

 

Key Accomplishments:

·         Successfully launched the first bond futures in Malaysia. Lead the team to launch the first bond futures, the Five-year Malaysian Government Futures, in Malaysia in March 2002

·         Subsequent roll-out of new futures products.  Rolled out the other two bond futures product in September 2003 and a commodity futures product in February 2004

·         Successfully modified the existing index futures product. Lead the product team to modify the existing index futures in September 2003 and the transacted volume increased by more than two fold

·         Trading link alliance with Singapore Exchange. Initially the lead manager for the Trading Link Project in June 2004 on the conceptualisation of the business and process flow of the trading link.
