Comments: I am originally from Honolulu, my Hawaiian name Kiwini translates to Steven in English. I was born and raised in Hawaii. My father is originally from the Phillippines. I am of mixed heritage, Filipino, Japanese, Hawaiian, Portuguese. My mother resides in Honolulu and I just returned home after being away for more than 16 years. I attended my Father's funeral in April of this year. I've kept close contact but really dislike flying so I avoided going home for years. It was a sad trip bu also very many new fond memories built from seeing all my family members again and the sights and sounds of home. I live in San Francisco, California and ironically closeted and not into any of the gay scene. I love men of course but I'm not into the club music scene and all that goes along with it. Also I don't smoke or drink so there's nothing I'm missing. I too am on my PC hours at a time and it's either work, my music or my computer. Your story is so charming and what I really like is that you're so down to earth! I can really relate to how you live your life. By the way I think your condo is very beautiful. Here in this city the cost of renting and let alone ownership is out of reach for many. I live alone in a studio and just purchased a new 500 MH PC recently. I have a keyboard and a couple of guitars. Two large fish tanks and a water fountain in my apartment and that's it. My family is musical and some play in Vegas as musicians and singers. It's a hobby more or less and I play music to keep relaxed and centered. My brother plays professionally and has a few CD's out and has airtime mostly in Hawaii and Japan. I really enjoyed how openly you let others take a peek into your life there. I was in Canada years ago. I started in Washington and drove to Alaska. I was stuck in my car in Whitehorse, Canada for 3 scary nites. Interstate truckers relayed a car part and appily I was on my way. Your relationship with Kevin reminds me a lot of one I had with a guy I met in Thailand, in the early 80's. We too, met only two days before I had to return to the US, and I will never forget the last night we were together. Comments: i've read ur x file and it touched me deeply. actually, i had a share of the same experience. i hade this guy for 6 yrs. he's barely seventeen when we first met and our age difference is 14 years. on our 3rd year, he had to go to Taiwan as a contract work r to support his family. the affair continued....loving him even across the miles. his return was the most hurting one, coz he decided to let go of the relationship. this hurt me so deeply. though no longer committed to me, we still made love as time allo ed. but still, commitment was the last thing to consider, as his parents does not agree with such affair and he is obliged to get married w/ his present girl. tears during the night has been a part of my life since then, but i realized that nothing is per anent in this world except CHANGE... and i'm now aiming for that. hei, too much sentiments isn't it...writing this one almost makes me cry as i still love this guy so much, but as agreed, we really have to part ways. good luck and it's nice to know that there's someone out there who loves someone just the way i do. :)

The movie is about a famous catrato in the 17th-century and his relationship with his b other who wrote music for him to sing. The soundtrack is full of wonderful music, and to inmitate a catrato's voice, they combined the voices of a female soprano and a male tenor digitally. the voice alone is a treat to listen to. But I am afriad it is very hard to find the CD. The movie director's name is Gerard corbiau and the music label is Auvidis. Check it out if you have the chance.

Comments: Hi David: Your web page is rather refreshing. I love the slightly offbeat sense of humor, and wonder how many surfers actually pick up on it. I also get a charge out of your "false modesty"..."please forgive poor grammar". You know that your grammar and compositi n is excellent. Your friends seem to be interesting, especially your cousin Edmond, the film-maker. I too had a project that was bandied about for nearly a year, first with a major New York publisher. They dropped it like a hot potato when the Japanese ailed them out financially. Part of the story was not overly flattering to the Japanese, concerning business ethics. After that Warner Communications was actually in final contract negotiations to make my story into a mini series (they had no interest i book rights). Unfortunately a Time-Life executive came in and decided the acquisitions editor with whom my agent was dealing, was not right for the organization. The replacement editor would not touch any of the properties that the former one had negoti ted. In disgust, I threw away the manuscripts (that was 5 years ago). I recently moved, and found a copy of it packed away in a box of papers. After reading it, I have decided to punch it up a little and try again. My agent also tried to obtain financi g, and make an independent film. They got pledges of approx 2 meg, but that was not anywhere near enough, so the project died, and my agent went on to other things, as did I. For the last 10 years, I have been writing "lifestyle and adventure" articles f r magazines...very commercial, but at times a lot of fun. Some of my work is on the internet as a teaser for a magazine. I'm not terribly proud of that. You sound interesting...I'd like to know more about the real you!
