Ulli's PC:
The PC has come along way from the early personal systems to the current ones who can be used for so many purposes; It is in fact just as common as any other tool or equipment which are standard in many house holdings. In many ways the PC has become a toy for all ages, filling the needs ranging from financial administration, wordprocessing, gameplay, special interests to internet, which is again a door to more possibillities.
behind me you can see my ATX midi tower, the monitor is a 17" Highscreen. |
In my oppinion, among all components the mainboard is responsible for the performance of the interacting between all other devices, if you have an average board with inadequate chipsets, even the best device can't perform well. I still use a 586 board which is however well-designed in many ways. Ofcourse it doesn't match the current PII boards but for me it still has enough headroom for my purposes. | |
