Tuesday - July 1, 1997:
Our second stop was the French island of Guadeloupe. Unlike the previous island of St. Thomas where the people spoke English, the people of Guadeloupe only spoke French which made it more difficult for us to get around and enjoy ourselves. The town wasn't all that so after a quick tour, we headed back for the ship.
That night was formal night so we had to dress up. There was a "Captain's Toast" where we met the captain. We actually took a picture with him. We decided not to put it here because it didn't look very good ... actually, it was the captain that didn't look very good.
