Well, I finally pried myself away from the computer long enough to watch some teriffic anime, including the Tenchi Muyo TV eps., Devil Hunter Yohko, Urotsukidoji (it has a good story, trust me...), Riding Bean, and Vampire Princess Miyu. I know, some of them are not as new as they should be, but hey, I do what I can. Besides, it's good to review older stuff, as that's basically what you can find.

I can honestly say this is some of the best dubbing I've heard in a long time. The actors can actually act! However, Tenchi's voice is a little annoying, but it fits him somehow, and it's less annoying than oh, say...the lead character in "Outlanders" (forgot his name...but he was annoying). The story is fast paced, but not so much that you don't know what's going on, and the animation here is top notch, with excellent color. All in all, an excellent series. I just wish vol. 2 would come out. Very Highly Recommended.

I had to watch the dubbed version of this one as well, but it was still nicely dubbed. You'll find an appearence by Gunsmith Cats' Rally here as Bean's sidekick. However, since I've never seen the anime version of Gunsmith Cats, I couldn't tell you if it's the same voice. This also has a nice storyline plus lots of action, and a nearly indestructible car. Recommended.

This one plays out like a weird episode of Sailor Moon, with demons, sexy outfits, and a sadistic, demon possessed principal...(hey, reminds me of my high school...)But that's just in the first volume. The next four volumes are about the same, but with more Devil Hunters, more sexy outfits, more demons, and more high school. Highly Recommended.

I finally got a chance to see this classic H-flick, and I must say I enjoyed it. Not for the sex, but for the storyline, with its twists and turns. Who's the real overfiend? Find out. I recommend the box set if you can find it, but if you can't, there's always the movie. However, I'm not sure if it's the same thing, as I haven't seen it. I just saw it in a video store once. In the end it's down to the old Playboy question: "For the pictures, or the articles?" Recommended to anyone who won't mind the "adult situations".

"Vampire Princess Miyu" is a story about a guardian vampire who protects the Earth from stray "Shinma" (Japanese for Gods+Demons) who wander out of their dimension. With help from her servant/friend, Larva, and a spirtualist, Himiko (but she only helps because she wants to find out why she can't kill this vampire by conventional means), she must hunt down all the stray Shinma in the world and return them to the Dark. This film makes a great part of an anime film party. Very Highly Recommended.
