ri bon nashi
bijin ka hanaji
na e - Kodachi

Next, a short verse to the lady. Simple, yet so true.

Ode To Kodachi

A rose by any other name would not be as sweet;
Nay, licorice and honey could not match it.
For although it may poison, and I weep tears of blood,
T'would be the sweetest death I could know.

In the Zen Buddhist form, here is another:

The Gymnast

Her grace and rhythm move me
The sway of her walk and her hair
She holds my heart captive
A ribbon binds me with love.
