"Ok, so this isn't a fanfic, but I thought I'd throw it in here because I thought it amusing. Usually the people on the Ranma 1/2 ML, or Mailing List,
myself among them, take some time out from discussion and debate on Ranma 1/2 to sort of "beat up on each other" in a friendly and sporting way. In other
words, we digress. Other times, we're on-topic on Ranma, and one topic stands out as a great debate that was argued, joked about, and fought over, and it sticks in our memories. A lot of interesting posts seem to come up during these periods, and the following links below are parts of those interesting posts.
In the short time, I have been on the Ranma 1/2 ML, I have made a lot of friends, and have discussed a whole bunch of Ranma issues with them. This is sort of

"Fragile Clay"

The Ranma-verse is in Danger when Akane takes one of her fights with Ranma too seriously, the following day Ranma's world buries him in a heap of trouble...
And he finally loses it. Runs away from the school after he finds out he's responsible for hurting a friend.
Largely a relationship developemental story between
Ranma/Akane/Hiroshi/Daisuke, The first installation of the "Fragile Clay" series takes place in a slightly alternate Ranma-verse, where everything but minute details are the same.
Those readers who enjoy the story, there will be new episodes coming out as soon as possible.

(AKANE: After regretfully watching part of LAST MAN STANDING starring Bruce Willis, the author decides to make a spoof--featuring characters from various anime series such as Ranma 1/2, No need For Tenchi, Bubblegum Crisis, and Armitage III--that is even more cliche than the movie itself! Will our viewers be able to stand the chaos, or will their minds turn to
jelly? Can anyone stop the madness? Next, on a special multiple crossover of Ranma 1/2, Ranma gets caught in the middle of a war between rival gangs in HALF MAN STANDING.)

"Nihao! Well, I'm sorry to inform you that this is not Shampoo speaking. It's only me, Christopher Lee Collins, a humble writer not
unlike any other writer of fiction--though some may disagree with me one way or another--and I am now about to compose for you what
I hope to be a fabulous Ranma tale about overcoming an overwhelming obstacle which Ranma and Akane will have to reconcile their
differences and........... Oh Hell....... It's another story where Ranma and the gang end up beating the crap out of their enemy.
I've recently become a Ranma fan, tho not yet as fanatical as the friend who got my involved with Ranma in the first place, who incidentally is also writing a fanfic. (Yeah, he also has a bad habit of not finishing the stories he starts--at least five novels breaking off at chapter four--so he'll probably be finished by the time Hell freezes over.) I intend to follow Takahashi format as well as I can. If I screw up, then I guess I'll just have to go to Tokyo and live with them a few more years--no really, I had a place in the back (I just hardly came
out, so you never saw me in the manga) (p.s. I think Akane likes me).
Now, let the story begin."

Hidden Talents

"Hi, this is my first fan-fic and I just wanted to say a few words......
Flame me, don't, whatever, I would love some feedback. This story
got started by combining the idea of wanting somebody in Ranma 1/2 to
play and sing 'Voices' from Macross Plus, thinking about how Ryoga can
sing, and a picture of Ranma and Ryoga in tuxedos. Then I thought about
doing a series of short, non-related stories on the "hidden talents" of
the Ranma crew. For instance, maybe .... Kuno can do something besides
Kempo, like.... (no, in his case poetry does NOT count, I mean do
something well).. well, maybe he can sculpt or something. Or has a great
singing voice. See what I mean? I'm really trying to find something that
they can't just do, but do supremely well. Something that they are
experts at and can do with passion, but they don't let anyone know they
can. I'm open to suggestions on 'hidden talents' so if you have a great idea, just kick it my way.

"Love Gets In The Way"

A freak accident occurs in the middle of the night and the dojo burns down.
While the Tendos and Saotomes are still recuperating from their loss, Soun and
Genma drop another bomb. They announce that they are relieving Ranma and Akane
of their obligation to stay engaged.
As if things could get any worse, Akane receives a letter of acceptance
from an acting school she really admires. Problem is, it's located halfway
accross Japan. Will Ranma finally work up the courage to tell her how he feels?
Or will he let Akane move away from his life forever?
