Entrance: Well, Usagi is actually introduced in the end of the fisrt volume of Sailor V, but I'll start in Act 1 of BSSM. She introduces herself as Tsukino Usagi, a 14 year old, klutzy and crybabyish. She sees some boys tormenting a cat, and shoos them away, then takes a band-said off the cat's forehead...a crescent moon is revealed! Panicked, she runs off, only to find later the cat is in her room, and she talks! Her name is Luna, and Usagi is actually Sailormoon! Of course this is a shock.

But Luna goes on to tell her that she must defend love and justice, to protect the Earth! Unbelieving, she shouts out "Moon Prism Power make UP!", only to see herself in a new uniform, with a short skirt, a leotardish top, and...a tiara! She really has become sailormoon!

The pretty-suited soldier of love and justice, Sailormoon! In the name of the moon, I'll punish you!

When the first youma contronts her, she wants to run and hide, when a masked man, introduced as Tuxedo Kamen, saves her! With Luna's instruction, she defeats the monster with her tiara!

At first, Moon is very scared of fighting, very klutzy. However, as time goes on, and more senshi come, she gains much-needed confidence. And an unspoken relationshi between her and Chiba Mamoru, or should I say, Tuxedo Kamen, helps her a lot. Near the end of the first "season", we finally see that Kamen is rince Endymion, and Moon is actually Princess Serenity! Serenity eventually defeats Queen Metalia and overcomes her fears.

Tsuki no hikari: "Tsuki no hikari" means "light of the moon", and that's just what SM is, a refreshing, healing light from the moon...back to the story. In the second season, the mysterious Chibiiusa falls out of the sky. We all know the sotry: she is actully Usagi and Mamoru's daughter from the future. By the power of their 2 ginzuishou, they eventually defeat the Death Phantom! In the third season, an interesting relationship between her and Haruka emerges (you've gotta read it to believe it!). Her stregnth is shown when, although Saturn tries to destory the world, Moon, or should I say, Neo Queen Serenity, heals it back to normal!

Personality: Usagi is a nice, fairly naive, somewhat klutzy at first, person. She is sweet and cares about everything, even Chibiusa (after preliminary suspicions)...though, at first, you wouldn't think she deserves all her power. She isn't a gret fighter, isn't very smart, doesn't have the qualities of a Princess. But her pure heart, her love, allows her to accept the power and truly be the "Messiah", Eternal, the senshi of the Cosmos (as it is later revealed). I myself don't think that any other senshi's sacrifice and love would've brought Sailorcosmos out of hiding.

The rest of the story: In the fourth season, the story was mainly focused around Chibiusa, but Moon of course plays an important role. She and Endymion destroy Ziroconia, and also revive the evil Amazoness Quartet into the good Sailor Quartet. She of course plays an imortant, crucial role in every season, as she is the past Princess of the Moon, and future Queen of Crystal Tokyo, plus the Messiah and Sailorcosmos. Whew!

In the Galaxia arc, all the senshi die except for her and ChibiChibimoon. When all of a sudden, she sees all of them, standing there, alive! She is overcome with happiness and run to see them. But they've been turned evil, and Moon eventully has to kill them all. (such a sad moment...) Even when she turns Galaxia good, Chaos remains, and she enters his Black Cauldron, with her Silver Moon Crystal Power, and even though she dies, her future form, Sailorcosmos, is revealed, and she saves everyone! We last see Usagi in a beautiful kiss with Mamoru at their wedding, all her friends watching in the distance, as her moon symbol shines on her forehead.

To sum it up: Moon is a great character, undershined on the web by all the Saturn shrines! hee hee She has a great spirit, love that can't be denied, and a sense of sacrifice that would humble anyone, including herself. She would do anything for her friends and kingdom, not to mention her future family. A beautiful character in an unbelievable story, Sailormoon is truly a great character of Naoko's.
