Enterance: We first meet Kaiou Michiru in volume seven. She is introduced as a great
violinist, and is shown with equally talented race car driver Ten'oh Haruka. They
are both very mysterious, and not much is known about either of them. She seems to be nice, though a little snobby towards the girls. She seems to be fascinated with the "noble" Mamoru, however.
At the end of the volume, when newly befriended Hotaru is in danger, we see two figures: one in a senshi fuku and one that looks like Tuxedo Kamen! They rush off, leaving the others to wonder who they are...
When another danger threatens, this one bigger, we hear two cries: WORLD SHAKING!, which hurts the youma, and DEEP SUMBERGE!, which kills it. With these attacks, the evil is destroyed! But two new, mysterious senshi stand there...
From the star of the seas, Neptune is my guardian. The maternal senshi, Sailorneptune! We have arrived!
And so enters Neptune's legacy.
Talisman: Neptune holds the Deep Aqua Mirror, one of the three talismans. Uranus holds the Space Sword, and Pluto the Garnet Orb. When the three are together, the senshi of destruction, Sailorsaturn is summoned. When the three outer senshi finally get together, they finally explain to Princess Serenity about Saturn, how she is summoned only to destroy, and resurrect, worlds. In volume 10, the talismans, as if acting on their own, shine a bright light. She, the destruction senshi, is summoned, and presumes to destroy Pharaoh 90 using her "Death Reborn Revolution!". Unfortunately, this also presumes to destroy the world, so Luto stops time to prevent this. SM heals the
half-devastated world afterwards, and
Saturn is
reborn as little baby Hotaru, whom
Michiru, Setsuna, and Haruka take care of.
Henshin and attacks:
"Neptune Planet Power make up!" - first henshin, turns her into Sailorneptune
"Netune Crystal Power make up!" - second henshin, turns her into Supersailorneptune and Sailorstarneptune
"Deep Submerge!"
"Submarine Reflection!"
"Neptune Violin Tide!" (used when Galaxia turned her evil)
Personality: Michiru is very elegant in clothes and choice of words. She is always in a dress, uses the more formal "watashi" for "I", and is very motherly, a fact that Haruka often makes fun of. She is typically calm, thinking through a situation, as opposed to the brash Uranus. Neptune is very strong and smart, both helpful to the outer senshi.
The rest of the story: Neptune plays smaller roles in the coming chapters, as she tries to help destroy Ziroconia and Neherenia, and later
Galaxia.
In the Galaxia saga, she and Uranus go to their respective castles (Triton and Miranda)
to try to help, but are killed before Eternal Sailormoon's eyes. In the end, however, all are resurrected when Sailorcosmos intervenes. Haruka and Michiru stand together, as it was meant to be...
To sum it up: Sailorneptune is a very talented, elegant and important senshi, strong in mind and spirit. She and Haruka go as one, in combat and in life, an aspect that adds feeling to the story. Go Michiru-san!
