State of Tennessee v. Kevin Lawrence
In Huddleston statements were suppressed that were obtained after the
suspect had been held in custody for over 48 hours but not charged. In
Lawrence the Tennessee Supreme Court extended the 48 hour rule to include
tangible evidence obtained in violation of Huddleston.
