BEHIND BLUE EYES-PART 5 B: THE LAST CHAPTER!
By Pink MoonBeam

Usagi quickly and quietly slipped out of the building. She collapsed on a
near by bench. She just couldn't believe it, after all these years she
finally saw Mamoru again.

"Oh, he must hate me!" Usagi exclaimed in anguish as she remembered that
night four years ago.
"Mamoru needed me and I brutally rejected him, I knew he was telling the
truth I could see it in those wonderful blue eyes!"
Then it hit her. She had never realized it before but now it was so clear.
"How could I have been so blind?" she asked herself quietly.
"When I was going out with him it was really just a crush, and when I talked

to Christian and he told me what he did I was really just crying for myself
because I was so cold to Mamoru and I missed him."
Usagi thought for a while in silence.
"I love him," she whispered.
"I am totally, head over heels, madly in love with the boy!" Usagi said her
voice rising higher.
"And I'm going to go in there and tell him that so I won't lose him again!"
she exclaimed standing up.

"Beryl, you bitch, you better watch out," Usagi said icily as she walked
briskly back into the building.

Beryl and Mamoru were still looking at the sketches when Usagi came back in.

"Excuse, I had to make a phone call," Usagi replied politely to Beryl's
questioning looks.

"These are really quite well, Ms. Tskunio," Mamoru said without looking up
from the sketches.
"I would like to hire you, as chief executive designer in section B of Chiba

Inc." he continued finally looking up.
"Us-Usa-Usag-Usagi!" he stammered in amazement.
Usagi could just nod her head in reply.
"Usako," he whispered softly to himself so she could not hear.
"So… long time no see," he said coolly.
"How can he control his feelings so easily, hide them behind that mask,
never showing any emotions in those ocean blue eyes," Usagi thought
"Maybe he really doesn't love you anymore," her mind reasoned but Usagi put
that thought far out of her mind. She could not, would not be able to face
that if it was true, not after she realized, finally, how much she loved
him.
"It has hasn't it," Usagi replied trying her best to act cool and don't
fling herself into his strong, warm, embrace.
"Am I still going to get the job?" she asked shakily.
"Of course, I'm not going to not give you the job because of some fling we
had when I was 18, that was a long time ago, you were barely a teenager and
I was just out of high school, I didn't even know what I was thinking,"
Mamoru replied with a slight laugh.
"So that's what he thinks of me, that’s what he think of us, as just some
fling, well I thought it was more, a lot more," Usagi thought to herself
trying to hold back the tears.
She managed a small laugh just to try to maintain her dignity but inside her

heart was breaking.
"Yeah, what were we thinking?" Usagi said quietly looking down at the floor.

"Ms. Dudlick, show Ms.Tskunio to her office," Mamoru said to Beryl.
Then he returned his attention back to Usagi.
"I think you will find your office well decorated and spacious, some of my
clients will be sending work up to you," he said briskly as he walked away.
"Oh, yes, I will enjoy working with you, Usagi, I mean Ms.Tskunio," he said
as he walked into his office, closing the door behind him.

"So you and Mr.Chiba aren't an item?" suggested Beryl smugly.
"No. Like he said, it was just some fling we had in high school," Usagi
replied coolly, damn she hated this woman. Well if it meant getting closer
to
Mamoru she could tolerate it.

Usagi knocked on Mamoru's door nervously. She had been working for him for 3

months and it was the first time she was ever called to his office.
"Come in" a voice replied from inside.
Usagi came in quietly.
"You wanted to see me?" Usagi asked.
"You said something about my sketches," she continued meekly.
"Damn, Usagi are you that naive. That’s not the reason I called you here,"
he said annoyance in his voice.
"I've loved you from the first time I saw you four years ago, you occupy my
mind every second and I can't tear my eyes away from your body. I need you
both emotionally and physically. Usagi I love you and please, Oh God please
say you love me too," Mamoru said, an ounce of pleading in his voice.
"Of course, I love you, Mamo-chan," Usagi said with tears in her eyes as she

ran into his arms.
Mamoru gave her a long passionate kiss, Usagi squealed in surprise as she
felt
his tongue slip in her mouth and his hand move slowly up her thigh but she
did
not resist. She leaned forward into his embrace as they both fell unto the
couch...

9 months later...

Mamoru paced back and forth the waiting room of the hospital nervously. Soon

his wife to be was about to give birth to their first child. He remembered
with a smile that evening about 9 months ago. He still couldn't believe they

actually made love on his office couch. After that he had asked Usagi to
marry him. Of course her father wasn't very happy with the idea. Mamoru
chuckled slightly as he remember how Usagi's father had blown up and
threatened to kill him but after he saw how much in love they were and that
Mamoru could support her, so he agreed. Mamoru's thoughts were interrupted
as
the nurse came in.
"Excuse me Mr.Chiba, you are now the proud owner of a beautiful baby girl,"
the nurse said with a smile.
"Usako, she's lovely," Mamoru said as he kneeled down beside her hospital
bed
giving her a little kiss on the forehead. "I love Usako," he whispered.
"I love you Mamoru," she whispered.
And for once in their relationship they could see behind each other's blue
eyes and only one thing was present, true everlasting love. Mamoru's lips
brushed Usagi's lightly but they were interrupted by a baby's cry.
Mamoru put the baby girl into Usagi's arms. The baby lifted up her small
arms towards her father and opened her beautiful blue eyes.

                   THE END
