Phantom on the Moon - Ch. 3: The Calm Before the Storm

Serena woke in the morning and discovered she had a serious problem
to contend with. She had no clothes in her closet. She went to the
training field and found the Younger Scouts, Serenity, and Darien there.
She approached Serenity and Darien and asked, "Is anybody interested in
getting some new clothes? I've been wearing my school uniform for two days
now, and its all I brought with me."

"I was beginning to wonder when you'd ask that. The Scouts and
myself have planned on shopping today. You want to come my prince,"
Serenity asked.

Darien smiled, "No thanks, why don't you just make it a girls day
out. Besides, your mother wants to meet with me for lunch."

"Fine with me. Since your finally up, shall we go?"

At this point the rest of the gang walked up, and Lita chanted, "Ya,
I'm for it. Let's go." The rest of that day was pretty much spent trying
on new clothes.

The rest of the week was pretty uneventful. The Doom Phantom sent
no attacks at all. "I'm telling you Queen Serenity, he wouldn't just stop
attacking like this unless he was planning a big attack," Serena explained
in court to Queen Serenity one day, "I think we should increase the guards
though out the palace till we know what he is up to."

Queen Serenity frowned, "I hope your wrong Serena, but I do agree
with you." The order was issued almost immediately. On other days, Serena
Practiced on the training grounds with the other Younger Scouts. Princess
Serenity and Darien often went off to be alone for a while, which Serena
didn't blame them for it . Serena even went out of her way to make sure they were not followed
by the Younger Scouts, which got annoying for them, "Come on Serena, we got
to know what they're doing," Younger Venus pleaded one day.

Serena was firm with her actions, "No way, Mina. They deserve some
quality time alone, and I intend to make sure they get it when I can. I'll
tell you this much, You guys are just as bad as my friends back home," as if
reading their minds she continued, "Don't even ask me what they're like.
Pluto would get on my case."

Queen Serenity was talking to her guard that same day, "Your sure
the guards have been doubled everywhere?"

"Yes Queen Serenity. Everything has been seen to. All we can do
now, is wait," Elder Mars informed.

Queen Serenity seemed satisfied, "Alright, if that's it, lets move
on to the personal stuff," lightening the atmosphere a little, "How are your
girls copping with all this?"

Elder Venus answered, "They're doing just fine. They're practicing
at least twice a day, more then the usual required time. They're behaving
fine, and they're getting along with Serena like she's part of group."

Elder Jupiter spoke up, "God, it's amazing how alike Serena and
Serenity are. If you didn't know Serena was from the future, you'd think
she was Princess Serenity's twin sister or something."

"The Younger Scouts have made that comment several times to me, and
I have to agree with everyone. Even the servants mistake Serena with
Serenity on a daily bases," Queen Serenity said, with a smile and a giggle.

One night, Queen Serenity walked onto her balcony and noticed Serena
was Staring at the Earth. After going back into her room, she went to
Serena's room and walked onto her balcony, "Another thing you and Serenity
have in common, you both stare at the Earth."

Serena was startled with Queen Serenity's sudden presence behind
her, "Queen Serenity you startled me. I'm all right, just a little home
sick."

"Is there anything you can tell me about your home? I'd like to
know."

"Well, I can't tell you much. I have both my parents and a little
brother named Sammy, who drives me crazy a lot."

Queen Serenity chuckled. "Well, I bet no one from the future ever
dropped in on you," Serenity stated, referring to Serena's visit to the
moon.

Serena did all she could to hold her laughter, but failed miserable,
"I take it Pluto never told you about the Princess of Crystal Tokyo."

Serenity drew a blank for a sec., before she remembered what Pluto
told her, "Oh, her, not much but a little."

Serena had to giggle a little, "Well she did drop in, right on my
head to be exact."

Serenity was in shock for a second before she went into
uncontrollable laughter. After she calmed down a bit she asked but still
laughing a bit, "Are you serious?"

Serena smiled, "Quite serious. The love of my life and I were at a
lake one day, on a boat. After we got off the boat, a pink cloud appeared
above us, and out she fell, right on top of me." At this point Serenity
lost control again and was laughing historically. Serena could only smile
before she announced she was going to bed that night.

Over the course of the week of no attacks, Serena noticed Amy
working on her computer more then she had when Serena first arrived, but
just shrugged it as trying to find the Doom Phantom's hideout.

Amy was noticing that Serena watched her work on her computer. Amy
thought, but shrugged it off, "Looks like it's fine. Nothing to worry
about." Serena had hurt her ankle and asked Amy to look at it that day and
was relieved that it wasn't serious and went to practice with everybody
else.

Later that day, Serena was in one of the rose gardens by herself
when Sailor Pluto appeared from around a bush, "You wanted to see me
Serena?"

"Yes Pluto, It's been a little over a week since I came here and I'm
sure my Family and friends are worried sick by now. Can you give them a
message? Just tell them I'm fine and 'when' I am."

"I already informed them," Pluto stated, "In fact, I told them
shortly after you got here."

	Serena smiled, "Thank you, Pluto."

"Your welcome," Pluto replied and walked away.

After dinner, the Younger Scouts, Sailor Earth included, and Prince
Darien met in Amy's room. She had been analyzing the sample of DNA she got
from Serena for the DNA test. Everyone was getting nervous from the
suspense, until Amy spoke out and went through a series of mixed
expressions, and finally went though one expression of total shock.

Lita decide to end the suspense in the air, "Well Amy, what's the
results."

Amy came out of her shock to answer, "Well, first off I should say
that if Serena is a close relation of Serenity, I'd normally get a DNA match
between 80 to 95 percent."

Lita was getting annoyed at this point, "Amy, just spill it."

Amy sighed and said, "Well, I don't know how to explain this." She
grasped her computer and turned the screen to face everyone else. Everyone
looked and had the same shocked look Amy had earlier:

                               DNA match
                          Serena and Serenity:
                                 100%

Ray came out of her stupor first, "I'm no expert in DNA science, but
I know what that means, but it's impossible."

Mina spoke up, "What, Ray? What does it mean."

Ray answered, "That Serena is Serenity."

Prince Darien spoke up, "That's definitely impossible Serena is 15,
and from 1000 years into the future. Princess Serenity is 13 years old."

Sailor Earth spoke up, accepting the results as valid, "I always
wondered why it was so easy to talk to Serena as if she were Serenity, now
it makes sense."

Sailor Pluto took this moment to materialize into Amy's bedroom,
"Those results are correct everyone, and further more, you know you
shouldn't have done that test. Now I want your solemn promise not to
discuss this outside this room, is this understood?" By this point Pluto
had a mad look on her face. This made everyone in the room cringe and
agree.

In the Doom Phantom's hide out, he was putting his biggest plan into
final preparations, he turned to one of his few remaining droids, "Is
everything ready for the attack?" The droid nodded its head, "Excellent,
this next battle will decide who will win this war, hahahahahahahaha."
