MUTANTS AMONG US

The rights to the X-Men belong to Marvel Comics, their creator, and the movie studio that just put out the film. I am not worthy to breathe the same air as these fabulous people, and I hope they don't take umbrage to my small hero-worship here.

  1. Wolverine:
An amazing character, he's mysterious and tormented, and with a SNIKT!! can produce footlong blades from between each knuckle. He also has an amazing regenerative ability, so he could be several hundred years old, though he looks a hunky twenty-something.

  2. Cyclops:
A genuinely nice guy, he's the nominal strike force leader of the X-Men. (Professor Charles Xavier is the brains of the outfit.) He's married to/involved with Jean Grey. He shoots laser beams from his eyes, and has to continuously wear some space-age sunglasses to control it. He's very sweet, very protective, with a knack with small children.

  3. Jean Grey:
Also known as the Phoenix, she has the telekinetic powers. She's very intelligent and is some kind of a doctor.

  4. Storm:
As implied by her name, Storm controls the weather. She was worshipped as a goddess in Africa before she joined the crime-fighting squad.

  5. Professor X:
Charles Xavier, he founded the X-Men, and leads them in their fight. He uses his telepathy to stop the bad people.

  6. Rogue:
Graced with a streak of white hair, this spunky Southern Belle flirted briefly with the Dark Side of the Force before becoming good. If someone touches her skin, she absorbs their life-force. If it is a mutant, she briefly has the ability to use their power. It it NOT under conscious control.

  7. Magneto:
The Arch-Villain, it's quite understandable why he became this way. A survivor of the Nazi Holocaust, the persecution of mutants reminds him all too vividly of his own torment at the hands of the Germans. His power is creating magnetic fields.

  8. Mystique:
A villain, a shape-shifter, and a kick-butt figher, she takes the shape of different people to further Magneto's plans and to cause general mischief.

  9. Sabertooth:
A large, strong, drooly-beast-type thing, Sabertooth is Magneto's loyal puppy. I think we'll all agree on which FY character gets to be him.

  10. Toad:
Also a bad guy, Toad jumps and has a REALLY long tongue. He's generally icky.

  11. Other:___________
