The end of "Project A-Ko: Final" was so depressing. Nobody got anything they wanted. Kei lost C-Ko. Ayumi Sensei lost her marriage plans. The aliens lost their only chance of going home, watching it go down the drain (or should I say down the hatch?). The Cygnans lost their newly-found Princess. Mr. Director lost his wits. B-Ko even got her biosuit scuffed in that fall through the upper stratosphere. I mean, it made the plot of Titanic look like a comedy!
HEY, WHO NEEDS IT? Life is too short! So, I decided to draw a comic book series (these are the text versions of my four hundred page graphic novel, which is thicker than the Pittsburgh phone book). My stories at least gave SOME of the characters a break. There's new characters as well as the old Project A-Ko mainstays -- so dig in and spend some time in my little Project A-Ko universe!

PROJECT A-KO 5: "CAPTAIN'S REVENGE" Hikaru Daitokuji wants the secrets of Alpha Cygnan supertechnology, and Captain Napolipolita wants to sober up. Can a grounded soldier find happiness as Director of Strategic Planning for the Daitokuji Financial Group? Can she defeat the space pirate who destroyed her mother and her crew years ago? And why does she want to go home so desperately?

PROJECT A-KO 6: "SINGING THE TIME-WARP BLUES" or "MY BABYSITTER WAS AN ALIEN"
Atina, Arisa, and Akana Napolipolita-Daitokuji are rich, rich, rich and bored, bored, bored! When their mother gets them a babysitting job, they really go into orbit -- will A-Ko, C-Ko and Mari ever see their little darlings again? How did the dinosaurs die? Did they really smoke all that dope at Woodstock? Why did kamikaze pilots wear helmets? Does anyone care?

PROJECT A-KO 7: "AIN'T LOVE GRAND?" or "HOW CAN YOU LOVE ME WHEN I'M DRIVING YOU CRAZY?"
Captain goes middle-age coocoo and Arisa finds an Earthling boyfriend -- Kei Yuki's little brother! It's Mood Swing City when Hikaru has the misfortune to peek in the latest Victoria's Cyber-Secret lingerie catalog. He also has a wonderful thirty-sixth birthday present for Captain -- and she has two for him!

PROJECT A-KO 8: "BABY BABY" or "TWO WEDDINGS AND NO FUNERAL"
It's a good thing that the Napolipolita-Daitokuji Mansion has 120 rooms -- with all those kids, they need the space! Ayumi Sensei finally gets married, and "D" falls for an enormous sumo wrestler. Captain and Mari square off -- and B-Ko breaks out the good ol' Akagiyama 23 Power Biosuit. It's a real amazon slugfest, and you're invited!

PROJECT A-KO 9: "CYGNANS WE HAVE HEARD ON HIGH" or "GOD REST YE MERRY ALIENS"
A killer asteroid hurtles toward Earth, threatening to spoil Captain's annual Christmas party. Can she handle the giant rock -- and can she handle it when her gala plans fall apart because Mari's daughter "Little Rose" pulls a nutty? When she and Hikaru go on a second honeymoon (without the kids!!!!), what happens as soon as the limo pulls out of the driveway? Did you know Cygnans love to party?

PROJECT A-KO 10: "CARRY ME BACK TO ALPHA CYGNI"
Wowee! Want to go to an all-female planet, where women are women and men are mush? Captain builds a new spaceship and transports her clan to the old homeworld. Will the men survive the trip, let alone the hospitality? What secret will "D" and Mari discover? Will Hikaru get another "very special gift"? And why is it that you can never really go home again?

PROJECT A-KO 11: "MY BOYFRIEND'S BACK AND I'M GOING TO BE IN TROUBLE"
One of Captain's old starbase "buddies" rediscovers her and decides he wants her back - even though her heart belongs to Daitokuji! Who will she choose -- a five-foot eleven-inch tall lavender-haired Earthling, or a seven-foot tall studmuffin/alien warlord with waist-length silver hair? Arisa and Akira tie the knot -- and experience an alien invasion at the wedding!

PROJECT A-KO 12: "PREQUEL!"
In a look back, newlywed Captain muscles her way up the Daitokuji Financial Group corporate ladder while engineering Earth's first light-speed spacecraft. When her long-lost Cygnan daughters finally join their new family, they get a real education about Earth movies, ice cream, and stepsister B-Ko's jealousy!

Thanks to the Cute, Cute Anime PetShop, we have now adopted this gorgeous creature on the left, Lokon. Is this not the cutest thing you ever saw? Thanks, Petshop! Hope you get things up and running again ... you've got some darn cute animals there! So say hi to Lokon, everyone! (Sorry, Katie ... indulge me! Isn't it kawaii??)
And since the Petshop is having trouble keeping up with adoption applications, I thought I'd bring another pet back just to help the Petshop out, even though it's normally against the rules. This is Hikari on the right.
