What is Virgins of the Sun?
VOTS actually began in 1993 as a locally run BBS (Bulletin Board System) in Miami, Florida. It was South Florida's first anime/asian related BBS, which catered to hundreds of anime fans who enjoyed trading anime/asian related files. We quickly grew to have over 5000+ asian related files. All free, and a hobbyist's dream.
Well, times have changed, and I have "grown up". In 1997,
I was forced to shut the BBS down; the popularity of the
Internet was a disaster for the local BBS community.
But my love for anime & art never died. I brought VOTS to the web on 1/3/97, making Geocities my home :). Since then, the site has changed, and the art has improved.
I hope you enjoy the site as much as I enjoyed creating it.
