What is Anime? - Anime (pronounced ANIM-AI) NOUN - Anime is the term given to Japanese Animation, also known as Japanimation. Most people tend to relate them as the "big eyed" toons. This is not the best way to describe Anime, and some may find it offensive. On the contrary, Anime characters all have their unique personalities and traits. No two look alike! Fortunately they have spread the globe in large numbers, and keep growing in popularity. Here in the U.S., there has been a huge increase in Anime related materials in the past 5 years. I guess it's like soccer, more people have grown to like it in the U.S., and that's good news! :)
