Mission of Clan Dark Legion
The overall mission of DL is to promote and foster honorable and enjoyable gameplay throughout the mechwarrior universe.
Specifically, this goal is addressed in three ways, or sub-missions:
1.) To provide new warriors the means and opportunity to increase their skills and knowledge.
a.) People new to the game will quickly lose interest if they see no improvement in skill, and skill can come much more quickly with help.
b.)"Help" can come in the form of practice, instruction, tips, programs(both MW related and PC/connection performance related), files, mechs, and advice. Netmech's history is filled with outstanding warriors who were DL.
2. To keep honor and courtesy alive.
a.) Online gaming is more enjoyable for everyone when there is no cheating or rudeness.
b.) We do not aspire to be "guardians of netmech" or like sysops on the Zone, but aspire to act with honor and courtesy ourselves, providing a positive example to those new to the game.
3.) To keep the game fun.
a.) Through wars, tournaments, and the like, new life is breathed into the game.
b.) By playing online with honorable warriors, the game stays fun, and remains a healthy form of social interaction.
c.) Awards, Lances, Hall of Fame: All are minor perks that add a little extra dimension.
