The Story of Mona
Long ago on earth, a little girl was born. Her name was Kya her brother Mala loved her very much. Years passed & Kya grew into a beautiful little girl with emerald green eyes & short black hair. Mala grew into a handsome young man with arctic blue eyes & long, light-blonde hair. The two did everything together, they were inseparable. For a present once, mala gave his sister a black diamond amulet that he made & also taught her some magic.

One day, some diplomats from the Moon Kingdom came to earth to discuss some matters with the King & Queen of earth. The woman diplomat had light brown eyes, jet black hair & a small crescent moon on her forehead. The man diplomat had blue eyes, long silver hair & a crescent moon on his forehead also. On their way to see the king & queen, they saw Kya & Mala playing hide & seek in a field. The woman saw bad times ahead for the small girl so they put the brother & sister under a sleeping spell & erased their memories of each other. They took Kya back to the Moon Kingdom where she was transformed into a Siamese cat with a crescent moon on her forehead, showing that she was a moon cat. They named her Mona, which meant moon. The diplomats who had taken Kya were Queen Serenity's 2 cat advisors Luna & Artemis.

Years later, Mala met a young maiden named Zoisite whom he fell in love with. Unfortunately, Zoisite was a warrior for the negaverse, led by an evil queen named Beryl. Zoisite took Mala to queen Beryl, who made him into a general named Malachite. One day, beryl & her army attacked the moon kingdom, killing everyone but Queen Serenity, Luna & Artemis. Unbeknownst to malachite, he killed his sister in her cat form. Serenity used the last of her strength to send Luna, Artemis & the others into the future to be born again with no memory of the moon kingdom.

Serena, once princess of the moon, was now Sailor Moon. With Luna, Mona, Artemis & the other sailor scouts, Sailor Mars, Mercury, Jupiter & Venus, serena found out about her past life. Soon after, beryl's generals, Jadeite, Zoisite & Malachite captured Luna & Artemis. The scouts & Mona went to rescue them but something went wrong, the sailor scout's powers combined turned all 3 cats into humans. Soon afterward, Mona began having a recurring dream in which she was sitting in a field of wildflowers when a figure, clad in shadows, walked up behind her. She turned & embraced the figure whose face she didn't see but somehow recognized. Serena managed to change the cats back but Mona still had that dream. Malachite, seeing the human form of Mona also began having a dream in which he was walking in a field when a small girl he knew came up & embraced him.

The scouts returned to face beryl's generals again when Jadeite & Malachite got into a duel. Jadeite formed an ice dagger & aimed it at malachite, whose back was turned. Without knowing me, Mona leaped in the path of the dagger & fell to the ground, seriously injured. The scouts were shocked at Mona's sudden maneuver. Malachite too was awestruck at the brave little cat, whom he felt closely linked to. He removed the dagger & pleaded with Sailor Moon to heal her. She did & Mona was transformed into a beautiful young woman adorned with a dark purple dress. Malachite immediately recognized his sister Kya & the 2 embraced, their past lives coming back to them.

All this time, Jadeite sat stunned. Zoisite, thinking that the maid in her love's arms was there to steal him, blasted her. Zoisite then blasted the scouts back to earth. Luna & Artemis remained hidden while this was going on & didn't get blasted back.

Malachite was enraged thinking Zoisite had killed his sister but in truth, Kya was changed into a negaverse warrior named Kyanite. Kyanite pledged loyalty to Beryl but Beryl had other things on her mind. Although Zoisite had brought the negaverse a valuable asset, Beryl blasted Zoisite for almost killing darien (earlier). Jadeite was put in eternal sleep for almost killing malachite, Beryl's best general, Zoisite wasn't so lucky though. She was blasted by Beryl & was slowly dying. As malachite sat by her side, he swore to get revenge on the sailor scouts even though beryl was the one who blasted her. Kyanite watched as her brother stood by his love, while Luna & Artemis beside her.

The scouts managed to back through the portal to come & rescue Luna & Artemis, but malachite was waiting for them. As sailor moon was about to destroy malachite, Kyanite intervened & pleaded to spare her brother. Reluctantly she did & the brother & sister were safely together.

To kyanite's dismay, malachite went back to the negaverse but he never lost his feelings for her. The scouts soon discovered that Kyanite was also an unknown sailor scout, Sailor Night. Kyanite decided to remain a cat but would change when she was needed.

Malachite had become leader of the negaverse after sailor moon destroyed beryl. He still fought the sailor scouts but not as much as he used to.
