Facts Every Jackie Fan Should Know:

Born in Hong Kong on April 7, 1954.
Was almost sold to the English doctor that delivered him. His parents were very poor.
In 1962 his tenure started the Peking Opera School, which lasted 10 years (the longest amount of servitude allowed).
It ended when he was 17.
He and some of his classmates are known as the seven little fortunes: Jackie Chan, Sammo Hung and Yuen Biao, are considered the "three brothers" because they appear in a few movies together. The rest are: Yuen Wah (actor), Yuen Choi (producer), Yuen Tak (director), Yuen Mo (choreographer & director), Yuen Kuei (director). As you can see, there are actually 8 of them.
Jackie Chan was an extra in the Bruce Lee movie "Enter The Dragon".
He is afraid of injection needles but does give blood regularly because he has a rare blood type.
He does ALL his own stunts -- hence
He almost died while filming "Armour of God" in Yugoslavia. He was in a coma for some length of time.
He's had multiple injuries and close calls: Broken ankle, Singed hair, Broken nose (3 times), Cuts on head, Cuts on back (You get the picture).
He is unable to get life insurance.
He doesn't worry about death. He enjoys the moment.
He has a teenage son who looks just like him.
He has three much older sisters.
He can speak Cantonese, Mandarin, Taiwanese, Japanese and English.
As a child, he never learned to read nor write.
He is a very popular singer in Hong Kong.
He has made over 100 movies.
He is very loyal and devoted to his fans.
He is rather tall -- 5' 9" (~180 cm).
He does not practice Kung Fu every day. He usually lifts weights and jogs.
His parents currently live in Australia. They have lived there most of his life.
His idol is funny man Buster Keaton.
He once dated actress/singer Anita Mui (Yim Fong).
He was in the movies "Cannonball Run" (1981) and "Cannonball Run 2" (1983).
He will star in his 3rd American movie in August 1998 entitled "Rush Hour". He will star opposite Chris Tucker.
Drunken Master 2 was the second highest grossing film in 1994. It was beat out by "God of Gamblers Return".
Two girls in Japan attempted suicide when rumors flew that he was getting married. One succeeded.
YES ladies -- I'm Sorry -- He is married to a Taiwanese actress.
He is the biggest star in the world.
And he is just an all around "Really Nice Guy!!"
