Help! I can't ...
Tie a necktie!

Three ways to tie

There are three ways to tie that knot. Different knots go with different collars.
For instance, the half and full Windsors tend to be bulky, and look good only under larger or spread collars, which are in fashion. But the Windsor knots themselves are passe.
The simple or four-in-hand is neat and more comfortable, and looks under almost every collar. When wearing it under the spread collar, loosen the knot a little so that it is larger, but not sloppy. Versatile enough for button-down collars, too. At any rate, the secret to a well-tied tie is in mastering the knot you choose.
A properly knotted tie should have a "dimple" at the center, just below the knot. To get a dimple, tie your tie without twisting either end of it. After pulling the wide end of the tie through the knot, place your index finger in the center of the tie, underneath the knot, making a crease. As you tighten it, gradually slip your finger out, and the perfect dimple remains.
And when tied, the broad and narrow ends should just touch the belt line.
