How to setup Yahoo Messenger to have voice communication?
Basically you need Microphone + speaker and a sound card that Full duplex communication.
Preferably you have headset which is convenient to use:
Plug in the audio out and microphone to appropriate slot at the back of the sound card then test.
If not sure whether your sound card support voice communication, use Messenger Audio Setup Wizard to test:
If you pass the setup wizard, that means you can talk with your friend via Messenger !

How to convert CD tracks into MP3 using Audio Catalyst? (Only for sharing with friends, not for pirate purpose.)
1. Open Audio Catalyst and ONLY check the box for the CD track you like to convert:
2. Press the "Grab!" button and start the conversion.
3. Converted mp3 files are in the location: Track2.mp3 in this example.
4. It's better to move to another directory and rename the song. Is this simple?
How do you save a web page and view it later? 2 steps:

Do backup on regular basis!!
Regular backup of your important documents, files and email is critical!! Hardware failure, virus attacks and many other accidents can cause you great loss, especially in working environment!! Here are some simple steps:
1. Prepare some floppy disks for small files backup. Remember to zip your Word/Excel files before saving them into disk.
2. Email files are too big for floppy disks, other medium is recommended. For instance, Zip, Jaz, MO, Tapes and CDRW are available technology. Zip 100MB, Zip 200 MB are suitable for domestic.
View and Write Different Language with your Window Applications.
Go the the following link and select the language you want to read/write, e.g. you can view Japanese with your internet explorer and type Japanese with your MS Word if u download and install Jap language pack. This also applies to Traditional/Simplified Chinese.

Create a shortcut at desk top or start menu will save you time.
1. click start button to setting and then task bar.
2. click start menu setting, then add. Then browse the program you use frequently, like CD Player or Internet Explorer. Personally I choose to put the icon on start menu rather than desktop because first the icons would not cover the wallpaper and second I don't have to minimize currently using program to click icon on the desktop!
Control your startup file to save time.
Had you ever have the experience that you have to wait a long time at the startup before you can actually use computer? Or your Winodows 98 crashes very often? This maybe because there are too much programs running at the same time. Here are several ways to tune your system more stable:
1. You can remove some non-frequently use files by removing shortcuts in the folder c:\ windows\startmenu\programs\startup.
2. OR run command line: msconfig then go to Startup Tab and uncheck those non-frequently use programs.
Remember: DON'T remove programs like anti-virus programs if there are any in that folder!!
3. Do not let very fancy Screen Saver run or shutdown Screen Saver at all.
The best way to store your floppy disks.
Never store your floppy disks layer by layer. It might save you space but that may cause damages to data in your disks!! Store them in boxes column by column and place them away from magnetic fields and strong light.
How to download icq
- Go to homepage (http://www.icq.com) and click icon to download
- Save the file first and run it later because you may need it in the future.
3. proceed the usual procedure to download icq to your PC and register with your existing icq #. Now your list is empty.
4. copy the files from your floppy disk to the PC you're using. (also the usual directory c:\program files\icq\NewDb
