Memories of Li Li Hua, Lin Dai, Le Di, Yu Min, Grace Chang, Ling Bo, Lin Cui, Ye Feng, Xia Meng and other luminous Hong Kong stars of the 50s and 60s had all but faded by the 1980s when a new generation of dazzling stars emerged on the Hong Kong movie scene.
When "ScreenQueens of the 50s and 60s" made its debut in September 1997 there were no other websites dedicated to stars of the earlier generation. Within subsequent years, a renewed interest in the actresses (and actors) on this site has blossomed with books, film retrospectives by the HK Film Archives, DVD releases, and numerous fan pages in deserving tribute to the charismatic stars of that era.
The younger generation of movie fans will hopefully continue the remembrance of these charismatic stars.
