Lincoln Interfaith Council (LIC) offers a lion dance class in collaboration with the Elliott Elementary School. Students learn fundamental techniques for the Lion Dance and its percussion instruments.
The LIC Lion Dance Troupe has been called upon to participate in such events as Star City Parade, multi-cultural festivals sponsored by Lincoln Public Schools, Lincoln Children's Museum; Lincoln Park and Recreation, Nebraska State Fair, Nebraska State Capitol,the Lunar New Year celebrations, Public school and more. We have performed in Crete, Omaha and other Nebraskan communities.

We need more students to help with Lion Dance and Dragon Dance because many of our students have gone off to college or have jobs. We would like our lion dance program to continue for a long time. If you are interested in the chinese martial arts or chinese culture please come and join in a practice or two. Lion Dance at the Asian Center is a 12 years tradition and we would like to keep it going strong.on.
