Image from the Women of Evangelion Welcome to a page devoted to the coolest and most unique form of animation. Anime is constanly trying to develop different are style, but with a base idea (the big eyes and small mouths) so not to scare fans of the most known forms off. It is also the only form of animation willing to use stories which would only work in the U.S. if they were told through flesh and blood. Unfortunately the main stream in the U.S. is far from ready to see "cartoons" that are aimed at audiences who have to consider college or jobs.

Lets face it Disney's stuff is to damn cute. There comes a point where some of the films cannot capture the people who take care of the Mouse conglomate's audience. To make matters worst of every other American animated film is trying to copy Uncle Walt's style. If it was not for the guys from South Park, CO and geniuses like Mike Judge and Matt Groening, there wouldn't be any variation in the style of plots we would get to watch in these 50 states. But if you want emotion, it seems like anime is the only genre where you can draw any.

I am for making this millenium the anime millenium, but I do not want to see people not knowing what to look for, even in this genre there are films to be burned. So I hope that these reviews can help new comers to the manga/anime world or even otaku addicts make the best picks of which animes to watch. Hope you enjoy and if you want to help this page out e-mail me at russthebus-cubs@lycos.com.
