The Outcasts are the "A" rank fighters who don't seem to fit into any other particular group. However, they are still top-class fighters and, because of their "outcast" status, are also the most troublesome of the tournament groups.
The Outcasts-
Yuki Nishida- Appointed leader of the Outcasts. A 17-year old
college student, who, despite his impressive academic status is also
stubborn, hot-tempered, and has an eye for trouble. Yuki has no formal
training, rather he runs on his father's teachings (his father was a
martial artist) and on his own raw talent. His weapon of choice is a
"sword-staff." The sword-staff is a 6-foot staff with a concealed blade
inside. Yuki also has magic abilities: Weather manipulation and a strong
telekinesis power.

Chris Drake- A strong physical fighter as well as a powerful magic
user. Chris is the caretaker of a temple/dojo, as well as the caretaker of
her little brother Randy. She took the responsibilities of both her mother
and father ever since they died many years ago and her older brother
mysteriously disappeared. Chris' abilities include super-human strength,
and powerful fire and thunder magics. She uses a traditional japanese
katana as a weapon, as well as metal claws. Despite her calm demeanor, she
is a passionate fighter and has a fiery temper.

Christine Donovan- Not really entering the tournament, she's there to help
her boyfriend Rags as moral support. She herself is a competent fighter,
however. A powerful telepath, and a user of Earth magic, Christine tends
to get into to trouble just being NEAR Rags. She's an excellent marksman,
and prefers to use a small metal crossbow, and a chain as a back-up weapon.
Because of her incredible telepathic powers, she is almost completely
undetectable by other psionics or any kind of magics that attempt to
locate her.

Rags Shione- A gang leader and local jerk, Rags is one of the best street
fighters around. He's Christine's long-time boyfriend, and he joined the
tournament after his younger sister was kidnapped. Despite his tough-guy
attitude, Rags was a born leader and he takes care of everyone and
everything within his power. A strong physical fighter and a brawler by
nature, Rags prefers hand-to-hand fighting over weapon combat. He uses
a type of brass knuckles though, to turn his usually brutal attacks into
devastating ones. His brass knuckles are fit into a special glove that at
the same time help him control his laser-like magics.

tends to be cold and unemotional. He uses a metal staff as his weapon of
choice. Little is known about him, but there's a dangerous quality about
his silence ..

Orion- A nomad warrior with strong magic abilities. Orion is quiet,
studious, and serious, but he is also very kind and gentle-hearted. His
sword technique is more defensive than offensive, and he dislikes fighting
for selfish reasons. He's been wandering the world for who knows how long,
but no one knows why. His weapon is a plain broad sword, and he uses magic
such as ice, and a type called "light and darkness".

social status, he's not snobbish, (although he can be a chauvinistic jerk at
times!)and doesn't flaunt his money. Even though he's pretty strong, he
prefers to use a thrown weapon called "slicers".
