V. Sensory Systems:
Radar System:
- Hyzan X-band pulse-Doppler radar, providing long-range
detection and tracking of targets at all altitudes.
- Hyzan IFF secondary surveillance transponder
Optical tracking:
- Bardaz multi-band digital camera system, for short range
traversable UV, infra-red imaging and optical band detection and tracking;
- Bardaz multi-frequency laser ranger and designator.
Tactical Electronic Warfare System (TEWS):
- Y'terk low power internal countermeasures system
- Y'terk hyperspace communications array
- Chaff/Flare Dispensers
- Y'terk Active Missile Jammers
- Multiple VHF and UHF antennas
VI. Armament:
Cannon:
- 2 x Makral Mossil 920 Particle Beam Cannons: Two
long range Makral Mossil Type 920 particle beam cannons are mounted on top
of the vessel. Each weapon can fire 5 GJ shots every five seconds at a
range of 50,000 km. Although the weapons are optimized for anti-ship
operations, the sensor system has been adjusted to allow more rapid
acquisition of mecha sized units.
- 4 x Kuexer 27 Laser Cannons: Four Kuexer light laser
cannons are mounted on the vessel, three facing forward and one towards the
rear. Each cannon can fire 55 MJ laser bursts twice per second.
The turrets and associated sensors are optimized for anti-mecha use; however
they are often used to target specific locations on capital ships (gun
turrets, sensor arrays, etc).
Missiles:
- 2 x Touwhaug Rasilszt-11 ZSSI-2 Rasan Missile
Launchers: Two Touwhaug Rasilszt-11 missile launchers are
mounted on either side of the mecha. Each launcher can hold 21 ZSSI-2
Rasan missiles with an additional full reload of 21. Each launcher can
fire up to three of the missiles every ten seconds.
- 2 x Moldile Mistreadkor-50 Ilari Missile Launchers: Mounted
on each either side of the Erebar Balnor are two Moldile Mistraedikor-50
missile launchers. Each launcher fires semi-active laser guided ZRA-2
Ilari. Each launcher can fire up to four at a time and has a capacity
of 50 missiles.
VIII. Armor:
The armor of the Dakankahnna is composed of an advanced tungsten-titanium
alloy. The armor stops all small arms and heavy infantry weapons fire, provides
good resistance to light mecha-mounted weaponry, such as the Zentraedi 22.3mm HE
autocannon round, and fair resistance to medium mecha-mounted weaponry, such as
the 55mm APFSDS round, if the latter strikes perpendicular. Due to the sloping
armor, incoming fire has a higher chance of a glancing hit.
