Plot:
The film opens aboard the space station Minos in the year 2127 where an engineer (Bruce Ramsay)
bent on the destruction of the ruthless Pinhead (Doug Bradley) relates in flashback the story
of the mysterious puzzle box. Created inadvertently in the 1800s by the engineer's own
toy-making ancestor (also played by Ramsay), the box serves as a doorway between hell and earth
and is Pinhead's passage to the world. Film then jumps to 1996 where the story of the toy
maker's bloodline and its connection to hell continues to unfold. Introduced are a seductive
cenobite named Angelique (Valentina Vargas), who is on Pinhead's side, but also appears to be
his foil (this is never fulfilled, but hey, who cares--nobody making this picture did), and a set
of Siamese twins who separate and reattach thanks to first-rate f/X.
