Ah! My Goddess

Ah! My Goddess is about the relationship between the ordinary college student Morisato Keiichi and the goddess Belldandy. One day, while ordering take out, Keiichi accidentally phones the Relief Goddess Office, summoning Belldandy.

Belldandy grants him one wish, and since Keiichi has a problem of getting a steady girlfriend (because he is a bit short), he wishes for someone like her to stay with him forever. She (mis)interprets this as Keiichi wanting HER to stay with him forever; she is now bound to be with Keiichi forever. Things get really interesting as Belldandy's two sisters, Urd and Skuld show up, and start causing trouble...
Jonathan- Right, we saw Ah! My Goddess, it's an OAV series in five parts. What'd you guys think?

Yari- It was good. A lot better than most non-violent anime series I've seen.

Ken- I thought it had...it was visually pleasing...

Jonathan- Thank you Siskel.

Ken- No, seriously, I thought it was pretty good. Nice art, and the story flowed well, it really held my interest.

Jonathan- So even though it was non-violent, you guys enjoyed it? Personally, I liked it a lot too.

Jonathan- The music?

Yari- Nothing special.

Ken- The song lyrics made no sense!

Yari and Jonathan- They never do!

Yari- It was just a basic rock and roll, classical, jazz mix. It's all in there.

Jonathan- It was very eighties wasn't it?

(general agreement)

Jonathan- I like the inserted english words so I can sing along! Decent music? Didn't stick out?

Ken and Yari- We liked it.

Jonathan- Worth seeing?

Yari- Yes. If you enjoy non-violent stuff. Well if you enjoy thngs like, Sailor Moon, or Marmalade Boy. It's a decent series.

Jonathan- What about that, you watch things like Gundam and Evangelion?

Yari- Yeah, but I like the other stuff too.

Jonathan- Ending? You guys like the ending?

Ken- Not really.

Yari- I did. I thought it didn't sit perfectly, but it worked ok.

Jonathan- I liked the ending, it worked alright. My big complaint would be that the series didn't last long enough. We never really met many of the characters in the opening sequence... Overall?

Ken- 3 and a half.

Yari- I give it 4 stars.

Jonathan- I'll give it a four and a half. I'm being a bit generous, but it's a nice series, and worth seeing.
Final Rundown:
Jonathan-****.5---4.5
Yari-****---4
Ken-***.5---3.5
