Rough outline of plot
If your mother is an angel and your father is a demon, you're probably going to be one hell of a confused kid. This is exactly what Alice is the day she turned 16. Since she has the potential for both good and evil so to speak, her evil side tends to emerge when she becomes angry or upset, an example being an odd earth quake or two in her first day of school. When Alice returned home from school, she saw her parents in a domestic fight wearing full angel and devil regalia. Alice fainted and when she comes to, her parents explained their true identity. As a birthday present, her parents gave her an angel ring or a halo in the shape of a headband. As long as Alice wears this, her horn can be hidden in broad daylight, however when it's dark, her darker power emerges. The only way she can be permanently normal is if she finds her soul mate, as her soul mate would be able to contain her demonic powers…huahahahah (sorry for the slip :)). There is a Japanese belief that your soul mate is linked by an invisible red thread tied on your smallest finger. Using this knowledge and with the help of a magic mirror given by her mum to see this thread Alice searches high and low for her prince charming. The catch is simple, her thread is broken, and it's up to her to find her own soul mate thread or no thread. This is one of my favorite works from Kawachi sensei, there's an extra story about Alice's sister Mirai where she is transported into the future. Mirai is perhaps the only original female character I've ever seen from this author. Mirai is the perfect example of the devil incarnate in a child, but she does act more rationally than her weepy sister. The fact that she becomes so developed is probably due to one of those times when the characters force itself to grow on the author, a very happy accident really.
