AND SPACE BALLS THE FLAME THROWER! KIDS LOVE THIS ONE. As Yogurt (Mel Brooks) said in Space Balls, "Merchandising!, Merchandising!" Well, not surprisingly, a bewildering array of DB merchandise has cropped up over the years. They encompass DB, DBZ, and DB GT. In fact, there has been nearly three billion dollar's worth (!!!!) of merchandising, much of it through Bandai. The sheer number of items makes it nearly impossible to categorize every little toy and gadget. This is especially true since Japan is not the only place where merchandise has been created. I have seen many items that haven't been listed in the DB Coffee Table book vol. 7 (Daizenshuu), or Toriyama Akira The World Anime Special. But I have generally categorized the major DB products as follows. This is a running list concentrating on stuff that have been released in Japan (and exported else where), plus some US releases. Again, this is a RUNNING list. If you know of something that's not here or if there's an error, please e-mail me! More info will be added as they become known. What's Here?

US PRODUCTS COLLECTING STUFF So, you're a collector. Maybe you're worried about bootleg stuff, maybe you ain't. Well, how can you tell if your DB collectible is real or not? Well, one way to find out is to look for a small, silver sticker on the product (if the product is supposed to be from Japan). On the sticker is what looks like a cat with a hat (oh, no!) and a globe in the background. This is the sticker certifying that the manufacturer had licensed the product with Toei Animation. However, there's a catch. Some products that are kosher don't have the sticker. These include (but not limited to) food stuffs, individual cards (like Carddass), shitajiki (pencil boards) or CDs. Again, all real CDs have been released through Nippon Columbia and FME. Probably, most DB merchandise have been pirated in one place or another at one time or another. I have personally seen pirated scrolls, CDs, cards, books, T shirts, videos, posters, and stickers. If you're conscious about authenticity, I guess all I can say is kiwotsuketeKudasai --watch out. Phew! That's alotta info. Aaa shindoi, shindoi. Again, if there's something that you know of or have that's not on here, or if there's an error, please e-mail me! Thanx.
