The episode is a single page in colour and features both Tsukasa and Ryuji. Their in their school uniforms (which are aqua, BTW). Ryuji had his hands in his pockets and Tsukasa has her hand on his arm. Both have their backs to the reader but they are looking back.

Tsukasa: "---..I want to see you......" Tsukasa holds her breath. "..."
Ryuji: "------..." He stares at her image on the phone monitor as if stunned. "...... ...Hm..."
Azuma sweat drops as he glances over Tsukasa's shoulder. Tsukasa's crutch is missing all of the sudden.
Tsukasa, turning red: "...... ...What's that '...hmm...' huh!?" {Is that all you have to say...!? ...It's as if I'm the only one who wants us to meet...... I feel like the loser... What a crappy feeling......!!}
Ryuji: "...No. I thought it was just rare to here something like that from you..." He smirks.
Tsukasa, getting defensive: "I! I was just talking in my sleep!!" {Don't take it seriously!!} She's still red though.
Ryuji: "...Talking in your sleep...... ...Fine... I thought if you were serious then I would have come over immediately..... ...If not, then let's go Shibuya."
Bun-san: "Hai... That's true..."
Ryuji turns around to go and Tsukasa suddenly freaks at the image on the phone display.
Tsukasa: "A! !? Me...!!" {As seen from behind!!}
Ryuji: "Oh well."
Azuma turns back and notices Ryuji.
Tsukasa finally realizes and turns as well. "A! AAAAAAAA---------!!"
At some hospital. [Can't read the kanji properly.]
In a private room, an IV drips quietly.
Munakata opens his eyes to see the tiles ceiling of his hospital room. "---..." He's covered with bandages (a small one on his forehead and many around his chest) and he's attached to several cords. He seems to have a huge thick band around his left arm below the elbow and there are a few cords leading to it. He starts as he feels something on his hand. Turning his head he glances down at his hand to notice a much smaller hand holding on to his thumb. Following the hand up, he meets Asago's face and his mouth opens in surprise.
She's sitting on a stool, resting her head on his hospital bed. She's fast asleep but clutching Munakata's thumb with two of her fingers. [Her hands are tiny!!!]
Munakata eyes her with softly. "......" Flexing his hand, he squeezes her fingers.
Asago starts and awakens.
Munakata: "...Yo......"
Asago: "......!!" She sits up. "...A......!" The look of relief and joy is evident on her face. Glancing down at her hand, she suddenly blushes a deep red. "......!!" {Wa...!!} She quickly moves her hand away. {Oh no...!}
For the visually deprived people, Asago has a bandage around her left arm just below the elbow and she's wearing this contraption over her hospital gown [please don't tell me that's some fashionable thing...] Anyways, this contraption thing is like a vest that's laced together in the front and back and it looks like there are straps on the side. There are also adjustable shoulder straps... I don't know what it's for but if you recall back in the fight with Baldy, Asago may have suffered internal injuries... maybe a broken rib or two from the falling rubble in trying to save Munakata...? I'm not sure if it's supposed to be like a cast or something...
Munakata: "......"
Totally embarrassed, Asago can't do anything but look down at her lap. She's completely red now. {...No... No way... What...... should I say as an excuse for that.........!!? ...No matter... how you look at that, it looked as if I was really worried, so worried that I didn't want to leave his side...!! ...W... Well it's not that I wasn't worried at all!? And I did ask to be checked into the same hospital!? ...B... But... But But But}
Asago tries in vain to think of an excuse, her silence getting longer.
Munakata: "...... ...It looks like you've saved my life again------..."
Asago doesn't hear him at first. {I don't want him to know that I think of him in that way just now...... I haven't even prepared myself......! That I------------... this man.}
Munakata: "...Now that's... ...two favours I have to return------..."
Asago's thoughts are interrupted by his words. [Oops, there's another hospital bed behind Asago. I suppose it's not a private room after all... Do you suppose they're sharing the room!?]
Asago: "------... ...E...?" {---...Favour...?}
Munakata: "...And it seems that this time it's a huge favour..." He stares up at the ceiling. "It doesn't look like I can return it all at once either..." He turns his head to look at her. {So you can charge me with a high interest} "...Will you let me pay that in chunks...?"
Asago eyes him almost angrily. "... ...I didn't save you in hopes of a reward..." {---At first, that may have been true.}
Munakata eyes her. "...Don't you... hate cops...? To save a cop who you supposedly hated so much for nothing... Isn't that a conflict of interest......?"
Asago: {I hated the fact that I owed a cop something and using that, I chased after this man. But. Ever since then,}
Munakata: "I thought you who respected that you were a 'gokudo's daughter'... for you, it would have been better for you that way......"
Asago: {I started using that as an excuse to chase after him---...}
Munakata: "...... ......But maybe... I didn't quite read that right............?"
Asago: ".........!" Silent tears slip from her eyes.
Munakata [I think]: {That that was your answer to that.} He's referring to when Asago pulled her hand back in a hurry.
Munakata lifts his injured left arm to gently wipe away her tears. "...It seems.. that I've read that too well------..."
Asago: "...Th......... ...doesn't matter anymore......" {---..All that about 'gokudo' or... 'cops'---... That I can only be by his side through 'owing' and 'receiving' a favour------... ...that's...} "......!" {...I can't take it any more---...}
Munakata: "...N...?" He can't make out her words.
Asago, crying: "---...Suki......"
Munakata: "------... .........I knew------..." He touches her hair gently as her eyes open wide in surprise. "...You're slow...... in realizing..."
Asago takes his hand and brushes it against her cheek. "... ...I swear...... ...you always see right through people...... ...and it pisses me off------..."
Back at the temple.
Tsukasa: {But seriously,} "...You surprised me. I didn't think that you'd be waiting all this time."
Ryuji: "...I figured that you'd come for sure------..."
Tsukasa: "......" She stares at him. {---It's been awhile since I've seen Ryuji live and in person---...}
Ryuji: "I can pretty much figure out what you're thinking------... ...So... this mass funeral..."
Tsukasa tunes out Ryuji's words to examine him closely. {This is unacceptable!!!!!! He's lacking vitamins and sleep!!} Her eyes scan his face closely.
Text pointing to his chin area: What's this! He's breaking out!
Text pointing to his eyes: And those dark circles around his eyes!!
Text on Ryuji's left: Just how much has his skin aged!!?
Tsukasa: {I swear!! This guy doesn't take care of himself unless I'm...}
Ryuji's voice cuts into Tsukasa's observations. "...So... I thought that inviting you, a 'katagi' to the funeral would prove the kanbu's assumptions. That's why I debated over whether telling---------..."
Tsukasa starts at his voice.
Ryuji turns to her: "You don't want everyone to know yet right?"
Tsukasa has dots for eyes. "...!?" {What...!? Da...! Dammit! I was engrossed with Ryuji's complexion and I didn't hear a thing...!!} Sweat dropping, she nods vigorously. "A...... A. A. A. Well yeah!!"
Text pointing to Tsukasa: But she agrees anyway.
Ryuji: "I'm sure that you're in an emotional shock from Wakasa's DVD message..."
Text: Emotionally unstable....?
Tsukasa has dots for eyes again. "... ...Why?"
Ryuji looks at her as if she's gone nuts. "...You're not in shock......? I heard about most of it from Meiko......"
Azuma (who seemed to have reappeared somehow) looks on with wide eyes. "..."
Tsukasa: "Shock...? ...Are you referring to the fact that I'm ''a totally unexpected child'' or that she ''didn't have me because she loved me'' among other things?"
Azuma is doing the scream, the shock of the words ringing in his head. "!!" {Wa... Wakasa-san...!! How could you say something so heartless...!!?} He listens from behind Tsukasa and Ryuji.
Tsukasa: "Instead of going into shock, after watching it I found that Wakasa had more common sense than I thought, so my impression of her was better."
Ryuji: {She made a better impression?} "......" {Is that something that would actually improve? In a situation like this......} "...Why is that...?"
Tsukasa: "... ...If she had acted like a mother and said some hypocritical stuff then I would never have forgiven her---..." {---That's why I, ------after that,}
Back to when Tsukasa watched the DVD message from her birth mother.
Wakasa: "---Forgive me... Tsukasa... I have no right to say this when I'm going to be leaving you but------... ---Still... I... ah... want to say something------..." Twirling a lock of her hair nervously is a blushing Wakasa with her hair in a high ponytail... and she suddenly turns away, putting her hand in front of the camera. "...A------!!! I can't do this------!! I'm not good at this kind of thing~~~~~~!!"
A very pissed looking Tsukasa raises her left arm.
Tsukasa: {Is that your ''something''!!? Was that supposed to be cute or something!!?}
Text pointing to Tsukasa: Her hand flies out to hit the stop button.
Female voice: "Hey---!! Come on Wakasa---!!"
Tsukasa starts at the voice. {M...! Mom!?} She transforms into dog form for some reason, and quickly pulls her hand away from the machine.
Behind her, Meiko is holding her hands to her face and she has huge dark circles under her eyes... But she can't stop watching either.
Ikumi: "You're her mother!! Explain everything properly for in Tsukasa has to view this at some point in the future!!"
Tsukasa starts again.
Tsukasa narrating: I was completely against Mom's words at that point. Someone who presses their problems onto her child is not a mother!! And then at Mom's words, Wakasa reacted as if that hit something and then was silent as if something was wrong------...
Wakasa is seen with her head hung as she tries to find the words to explain...
An impatient Tsukasa aims for the machine again. {Dammit...! How long is she going to make me wait!!? Who do you think you are anyways!!?}
Text pointing to Tsukasa: Her hand flies out for the stop button again.
A second voice sounds on the DVD. "---...Waka-chan, if you don't hurry up and speak, you're going to run out of time......"
Tsukasa, in dog form starts again. {Da...! Dad!?}
Behind her, a nervous Meiko watches on.
Tsukasa: {...Sh... ...She was called ''Waka-chan''......?}
Text around Tsukasa: Somewhat friendly sounding... that makes me somewhat pissed.......
Narration by Tsukasa: ---And after Dad's warning------ she slowly opened her eyes. Wakasa then turned to face me once more and no longer was she showing a motherly face---------...
Wakasa faces the camera once more with determination, no longer looking cute.
Back at the temple.
Tsukasa: "---And then ...I realized... that Wakasa had decided in that short period of time, that ''she had no right to call herself my mother''---..." She looks down for a moment.
Azuma: "..."
Tsukasa: {And because she decided that, the rest of the message afterwards......}
Back to Wakasa's message.
Wakasa: "---It was a one night relationship with your true father Mikaidou Sou. I admired Sou... I respected him... but I didn't love him. I only did it because he said that if I slept with him only once, he'd get over me." [I know, I know, this doesn't make sense... Maybe it's the Kansai dialect... Maybe Sou actually admired Wakasa (he didn't have 2 wives for nothing right?) I hate it when pronouns are missing.]
Wakasa still has that serious look on her face. "---That one time that night, I never expected that I'd become pregnant with you."
Tsukasa is seen doing a silent scream with her hands to her face. {I... I wasn't wanted--- I was like a Cracker Jack prize or something---!!?} [Okay, I used Cracker Jack but I don't think they have these in Japan... Anyways, in Japan, a lot of candies come with little toys/trading cards etc and Cracker Jacks were the first North American equivalence I could think of after cereal......]
Text pointing to Tsukasa: She's a bit shocked over how minuscule her reason for living really was.
Wakasa: "The reason I had you,"
Tsukasa: {What other chiipu excuses do you have!!?} [chiipu = Japanese pronunciation for ''cheap'']
Wakasa: "Wasn't because I loved you. It was because Sou's seisai wouldn't allow his child to be killed."
Tsukasa: {---A cold expression and a monotone voice. That she spoke without choosing her words was probably for if and when I learned the secret of my birth, that I wouldn't be confused by the existence of by my true mother------}
Wakasa: "I didn't want you------"
Ikumi [I think]: "---Wakasa...!!" {What are you}
Wakasa cuts her off. "It's all right!! It's the truth!!"
Tsukasa: {To make me feel that my only mother was ''Kozuki Ikumi''---...}
Back to the temple.
Tsukasa: "I thought that that was her motherly way to leave a message for me when she was leaving me---..." She looks up at Ryuji. Azuma is staring at her surprised.
Ryuji: "... ...Aa... ...That must be it------..."
Azuma is suddenly moved to tears. "......" Holding both hands to his heart he has huge eyes. {...Aa---... Wakasa-san------... the Tsukasa-san who despised you is now understanding after viewing the message which did not reflect your true thoughts---...}
Azuma thinks back to when he was younger and Tsukasa had just been born.
Wakasa is holding Tsukasa lovingly, smiling down at her. Azuma is standing nearby smiling as well.
Wakasa: "I wonder what kind of person she'll grow up to be--- I'm looking forward to it------ As long as you grow to be genki and kind I won't wish for anything else. ...Right...? Tsukasa---..." She kisses Tsukasa who raises a hand to her mother's face.
Tsukasa: "YEAH!! Leave it to me!!" She points to herself. "Being powerful (genki) is my only strong point!! SO!! I can take this tens of thousands of stone steps---!!"
Bun-san: "......"
Ryuji: "......"
Both Ryuji and Bun-san are glancing back at Tsukasa who's struggling to climb the many stone steps.
There's a huge flight of stone steps flanked by trees on both sides. There's a rail dividing left and right sides of the stairs and Ryuji and Bun-san are on the opposite side from Tsukasa. Looking closely, the stone steps are uneven and cracked in many places.
Tsukasa, is trying to pull herself up using the rail while trying to balance with the crutch in her other hand. "Wait Kamo-sa~~~n I'm coming right away---!!"
Azuma is looking on worriedly. "Tsukasa-san, are you all right? I could lend you my shoulder."
Tsukasa is stubborn as she battles the stairs. "...N. I'm all right~~~... The pain killers are working so it doesn't hurt~~~" Panting, she slowly trudges up the stairs.
Ryuji looks at her sadly. "---... ...Tsukasa..."
Tsukasa pauses. "...He...?"
An expressionless Ryuji suddenly pushes Tsukasa back, causing her to fall backwards.
Azuma, his mouth hanging open: "A!!"
Tsukasa has wide eyes of fright but Ryuji easily vaults the rail and catches Tsukasa on his back.
Tsukasa: "!!"
Ryuji starts running up the stairs, piggy-backing Tsukasa.
Tsukasa: "HEYHEYHEY-------!!" {Ryuji---!!}
Worried looking Bun-san and Azuma are running behind and beside them respectively with their hands out to catch either/both of them should they fall.
Tsukasa: "WAITWAITWAIT------!!" {Stop it! What if you die of exhaustion from doing something like this---!!?}
Ryuji: "---I want to do something for you------..." He glances back at her. "...Does it bother you..?"
Tsukasa looks surprised at first, then smiles. "... ...No---..." {...Ryuji---... I understand Wakasa's feelings but...... I can't see Wakasa as my ''mother''------...}
Tsukasa finally agrees: "Fine, but only for fifty steps okay?" {After that I'll throw a tantrum if I have to in order to get off.}
Ryuji: "---..." He begins counting. "One, two, three, four, five, six, seven..."
Tsukasa: {Probably because,}
Wakasa's last words in her message: "---...I want to help him------..."
Ryuji: "Forty, forty-one, forty-two"
Tsukasa hugs Ryuji from behind. {---I can't help but think she was thinking just like me------...}
Ryuji: "...Forty-seven, forty-eight, forty-nine, fi--- six, seven, eight..."
Tsukasa: "HEY HEY HEY HEY---!"
