Ryuji's face is illuminated from behind, as if lightning had struck nearby. His face looks kinda scary...

Ryuji: "------..."

Tsukasa, smiling and trying to explain the situation: "AA~~~~ This is~~~ like you know~~~~~~. He meant to hide it when you and I left the room but since we were forcing him to sleep, looks like he truly fell asleep~~."

Kamo-san is peacefully asleep on his side... with the ashtray beside him.

Large text: Kamocchi sleeping holding the potty (which is crossed out) ashtray. [Kamocchi seems to be another nickname for Kamo-san. I think that's what Nakamura-sensei calls him...]

Text below Kamo-san: Seems that he had hidden it within the blankets to hide it from Ryuji's eyes.

Embarrassed, Ryuji tries to reach out for the potty (oops I mean) ashtray.

Tsukasa, keeping him away from Kamo-san: "I know, I know, I know, I know. I understand. I really do. Having some thing like that from the past still around is embarrassing, enough to make you want to die at times. I've experienced that myself since my dad was like that. You might not get it but that's what it's like to be a 'father'." {Well not just a father but all good 'parents'."

Ryuji: "......" He thinks for a bit. "---..."

Text pointing to Ryuji's "---...": He's wondering if it's really true.

Tsukasa: "...Aren't you lucky. In today's world, there aren't many kids that experience this kind of embarassment anymore......" {It's embarrassing but kind of ticklish at the same time.}

Ryuji: "......"

Tsukasa: "...Kamo-san's... a great 'father'."

Ryuji looks momentarily stunned before showing a soft smile on his lips.

Tsukasa's heart skips a beat: {...A... Even now, to Ryuji, Kamo-san is more than just a bodyguard---... Maybe his love for him is more than that he had for his real father (Kuryugumi's Nidaime)------...}

Ryuji: "..." He pulls the blanket up around Kamo-san to cover his shoulders.

Ryuji and Tsukasa leave the room. As they walk down the hall, Tsukasa thinks to herself.

Tsukasa, nodding to herself: {I understand. I understand that feeling. ...They say it's the parent who raised the child, not the parent who gave birth. Wait a minute, guys can't give birth so I guess you don't say the parent who gave birth. Like how sibling love is deepened by emotions more so than by blood. Just like you said to me.} [Rambling as usual...]

She slaps Ryuji's arm with the back of her hand.

Ryuji, who obviously can't hear her thoughts is confused: "... ...What?" He stops to look down at her, noticing the protector dangling from her wrist. "...What are you going to do about that protector.......?"

Tsukasa: "I'm thinking of having Taku-nii fixing it."

Ryuji: "Won't he ask how it got into that shape?"

Tsukasa: "Probably... I'm thinking of telling the truth. That way, it'll be easier to tell them that 'I plan on fighting with Garyukai too'. Though, they'll probably disagree vehemently." She laughs nervously. "Yeah ---probably something like that."

Minutes later, in the rooms where the Kozuki brothers are residing. [Remember, they moved into Kuryugumi some time ago...]

Sho [probably]: "...Uwa------... The protector is sliced into two."

Toshi: "She said it was cut through with a double-edged thunder knife." {Made of the same material as the short sword on the end of Tsukasa's bug worm.}

Sho: {Yeah...} "If she wasn't wearing the protector it may have been life threatening---..."

Sho and Toshi are shaking in fear: "......! ......!"

Text around them: It's dangerous. We're scared. Odenjyarasudesu~~~ (It's dangerous~~~).

Toshi and Sho: "...Therefore,"

Toshi: "I'm against Tsukasa having to fight Garyukai!! We're firmly against it!!" {I'm against it with all my life---!!}

Sho: "I'm against it too---!!"

Both Toshi and Sho have their fists in the air for emphasis and have tears in the corners of their eyes.

Text below Toshi and Sho: At this rate no matter how many lives you have it won't be enough-----!!

Tsukasa: "---...See?"{See~~~ Isn't it just like I said?} "Exactly, word for word and action for action." [I hope you get what I mean... She's trying to say they said and acted exactly as she predicted.]

Ryuji: "...... ...But the difficulty is,"

Taku: "...Tsukasa..." He stares at his sister intently. Tsukasa freaks and a shadow passes over her face: "!!"

Taku, with his arms crossed: "Could it be... that the reason you suddenly say you're going to fight against Garyukai is because you thought that 'you have to settle the battle between Hogou and Garyukai'?"

Tsukasa: "E?" She looks confused.

Taku: "Are you going to say that the reason you want to get the 'kagi' back is because you feel the responsibility since 'Wakasa' entrusted you with the 'kagi'?"

Tsukasa: "E!?"

Taku: "I was always afraid that you would say something like that, feeling obliged to do so as a 'survivor of Hogou(gumi)'."

Tsukasa: "WHA!!?"

Taku: "IF THAT'S THE REASON YOU WANT TO CONFRONT GARYUKAI THEN I'M COMPLETELY AGAINST IT------!!" {Don't you ever speak of Garyukai again---!!}

The wrath of Taku spills over Tsukasa and Ryuji. Taku's eyes flash and he shows fangs. He's suddenly all mouth and the force of the words coming from his lips cause Ryuji and the Tsukasa-dog to roll away. Tsukasa whimpers as she does so.

Ryuji, caught in the storm: {But the biggest barrier is the eldest brother. This is hopeless......} He's sprawled on the floor.

Tsukasa as a dog boasts again: "See, just like I said earlier. Wouldn't even let me get a word in."

Taku: "---..." He lets out a sigh.

Sho: "See~~ Just as predicted~~"

Toshi: "And Tsukasa seemed as if she didn't want to deal with Garyukai."

Sho: "Yeah-" Seems that Tsukasa and Ryuji have left the room.

Taku: {---...Exactly... ...But, to me, it seemed that the more she denied having 'Hogou's' blood within her, the more particular she became about the thought. Well yeah... I know that because of Garyukai the world's becoming messed up. I know that it'll become worse if the 'kagi' isn't retrieved too...... I know but...... ---...But... is it wrong of me to be against Tsukasa meeting danger face to face like this all the time---...?} He holds Tsukasa's sliced-open protector. He thinks back to when he was younger with his parents. {Dad---... ...Mom......} "..." {---If they were both here now, I wonder what they would have said---...}

Toshi and Sho start as Taku takes out some tools.

Sho: "Taku-nii, does it look like you can repair the protector?"

Taku: {...Well...} "I have to take it apart first. {Since it's something that Dad made I have no idea if it's rigged or something.} "...N...?" He spies something hidden behind the panel that adjusted the size of the protector.

Toshi: "...What is it?"

Taku takes out a tiny disc. "It's a M3 type DVD......" [It's tiny!!!]

Somewhere in Kuryugumi.

Tsukasa and Ryuji are walking down the hallways.

Tsukasa: "...Well~~~ well....... I didn't expect them to be able to read my thoughts and actions to that extent. It just goes to show that they are my buraza-~~~ (brothers). Well, having lived and shared meals with them for 14 years like that..." [Proof that she's still 14......]

Ryuji: "...... ...You may not be able to persuade them... probably not at all..."

Tsukasa: "WHA!?"

Ryuji: "It's not like the graduation trip. This time your life is on the line. Trying to persuade that eldest boy to understand is a waste of time talking."

Tsukasa: "But to persuade him is our trial~~~!!"

Ryuji: "...Don't say our. I agree with your brothers' opinion---..."

Tsukasa looks shocked. "...... ...E...?"

Ryuji, with firm resolution: "...From now on, I won't let you get involved in the battle with Garyukai."

Tsukasa: {...Wha... What---...!?} "What are you saying!? Why do you say that all of the sudden!!? Aren't you the one that said it wasn't like me to be running away from Garyukai!!?"

Ryuji, in SD form looking very pissed: "...When I got to Niko-Niko Tower, you were gaping at that ronge-yaro!!" [ronge is a slang way of saying long-haired; yaro = guy]

Tsukasa has dots for eyes. She thinks. {Ronge.} An image of Misumi pops up in her mind. {Gonzaemon...?} "...E......?"

Ryuji looks scary as he leans forward a dark shadow over his face. He's also sprouting fangs: "YOU WERE GAPING AT HIM......!!" [A rare SD of Ryuji getting angry and showing fangs...] Images flash through his mind how Tsukasa got a close up of Misumi's face and how she was almost kissed.

Tsukasa: "...E..." {No... um,} "That's um...... not what you call gaping but......" {How do you say it---...}

Ryuji: "At that time you dropped your guard and lost all feelings of hostility towards the guy." {---That guy's dangerous--- I won't let her confront him again---!!} "So I'm keeping you out of this fight!!"

Tsukasa: "Sorry, sorry. I had done something cunning so I couldn't say anything back. But don't worry! Next time I'll beat the crap out of him!!" {Of course I lost my will to fight since he came out with roses and all.}

Ryuji: {...... ...It's not that I'm worried about---...}

Nearby they hear a crash from behind a closed door.

Tsukasa looks in the direction of the door. "...E...? ... ...Huh...? Wasn't that room...... where ...wasn't... Asaba-kun, mister Azuma and ------"

In the room behind the closed door.

Shiki licks the knife blade which is covered in blood.

Azuma is panting heavily.

Shiki leers down at Azuma and Tsubaki: "...What's this mister...? You ditch me on the way but you sure go far to protect that gaki." {Well isn't that unfair.}

Azuma: "...!" His shirt is stained with blood in many places where Shiki had apparently stabbed/slashed at him.

Tsubaki is behind Azuma: "...Azuma...!"

Azuma: "...I didn't desert you...! Once I dealt with the pursuers, I was going to come get you from where you were hiding...!"

Shiki: "But you didn't come so it's the same."

Tsubaki: "---I'm saying that Azuma was on the verge of death!!"

Shiki: "...So...? Just because he endured a hardship it's all right...? Don't joke around. While this mister was saved and had his wounds tended I'll tell you what I did while living at Garyukai." He switches his knife to his left hand. "...You... gaki!!!" He rushes at Azuma who manages to avoid the blade.

Tsubaki however is thrust in the other direction by Azuma's weight. Azuma manages to catch Shiki's left hand. Shiki smiles slyly.

Azuma: "...!?"

Shiki is suddenly wearing his Edward Scissor-Hand weapon on his right and is reaching for Tsubaki.

Azuma: {...No---...!} "Tsubaki-sa..."

Tsukasa: "Ikari no Tsuista Kura----------shaaaaa!!!!!!" (Twister Crusher of Anger)

Tsukasa flies in a spiral, knocking into Shiki. In her mini tornado, there is a house that was picked up in the storm as well as a person (a mini Ryuji). Lightning is also seen.

Echo: Kura--sha Kura--sha Kura--sha

Sho: "...A... That's Tsukasa's voice!"

Toshi: "Sounds like she's using a special move somewhere." {Haven't heard one of those in a while.}

Taku: "......."

Sho, pointing to one of the doors: "Taku-nii! It sounds like it's from over here!"

Toshi: "I bet you she's trying to stop some fight between the kumiins or something~~~ She's always been like that since she was younger... Always going straight into trouble that I would avoid." He turns to Taku and smiles. "...Out of all of us, that part of her is most like Mom and Dad---..."

Taku: {Though they were off duty, they couldn't ignore the yakuza dispute. Mom and Dad who were like the souls of the seigi---...} [seigi = good (as in opposite of evil) in case you've forgotten] {Tsukasa had always admired Mom and Dad---...}

Taku and his younger brothers had played the DVD which was a message from their parents. Looks like their mother Ikumi did all of the talking. [From the image you can tell that either Ikumi is really short or that Yutaka is really tall...... ]

Ikumi: "---Your secret, is not one that you have to learn if the time does not come... But just in case, we'll leave this message for you. We don't know when you'll see this, but when you do, we think it will be when you're life is danger. ...And...... when your 'battle' will begin------... Because your sense of good/justice is almost as strong as ours---... If you knew what Garyukai was up to, you wouldn't be the type to sit still---..."

Back in the room where Tsukasa had done her Twister Crusher.

Tsukasa is shaking with rage: "...Y... ...Y... ...Y... ...Y...!" She see the spilled blood on the floor. She looks down at her friend.

Tsubaki looks at his hands which are covered in blood. His school uniform is also stained. "..."

Text: Spilled blood.

Shiki is freaking, though still wielding his weapon. "..!"

A freaky aura surrounds Tsukasa who's hair stands on end. The air crackles with tension.

Tsukasa: "You bastard~~~~~~~"

Shiki's hair pops out in different directions and he looks up in fear. "~~~!!!" A silent scream escapes his lips.

Tsukasa: "You bastard---! You did something that deserves death hurting my friend like that---!!"

Shiki tries to explain before he's pummelled with punches and kicks. "Wha!? Wait! I haven't done anything to the gaki yet!"

Tsukasa: "Shaddup!!!!!"

Shiki: "Gyaaaaa!!"

Tsubaki is watching in admiration. {Aa...! Kozuki is getting revenge for me...!} He's touched. {How wonderful...! I'm not hurt but I'll stay quiet for awhile...}

Text pointing to Tsubaki: It's all Azuma's blood.

Azuma watches, his mouth agape.

Ryuji: "......" [Jealous maybe...?]

Tsukasa is still beating up on Shiki when Taku, Toshi and Sho enter the room as well.

In the background, Tsukasa and Shiki are yelling/fighting.

Tsukasa: "Damn you---!! Aren't you impudent though you're Gonzaemon's underling---!!"

Shiki: "Who's the impudent one!? When you're like another Wakasa---!"

Tsukasa: "Nuooooo Touching on that taboo again---! I won't let you die an easy death ah---!!!!?"

Tsukasa easily wins, and ends up with her foot on Shiki's back. Shiki is seen with spirals for eyes.

Tsukasa: "Hya ha ha ha---! See you bad one!!? The seigi always win---!"

Taku remembers his mother's words.

Ikumi: "---I'm sure--- that if we tried to stop you, you wouldn't listen---... ...so we won't be against your decision------... because if the time comes that you have to fight Garyukai then we won't be able to stay out of it either---..." Behind her, Yutaka smiles.

Taku sighs: {It's my loss---... ...Man... Seeing this you really wonder who's related by blood---... A workaholic... Think about us too...... ...But if they had thought that way then they wouldn't have stuck their heads into the dispute while off duty......} He smiles as he recalls how Ikumi had leaned forward for emphasis.

Ikumi: "---You're a strong one --- Tsukasa"

Taku seems to make up his mind. "...Tsukasa..."

Tsukasa, who has a dizzy Shiki by the collar: "Taku-nii."

Taku holds out the DVD. "...It's a message... From Mom and Dad---..."

Tsukasa: "...E...?" She drops Shiki, who falls with a thud. Her eyes are wide in surprise. "M M Message...!? From Mom and Dad...!? In this...!?" {I didn't mistakenly hear it as renkon or daikon did I!?} [dengon = message; renkon = lotus root; daikon = large white radish]

Sho: "It was in the protector."

Toshi: "We've seen it already. Sorry."

Taku: "...Tsukasa..."

Tsukasa: "Whya!? Tako-nii!!"

Text: She's so happy that her tongue doesn't move properly.

Sho: "Whya?"

Toshi: "Tako-nii?" [tako = octopus]

Taku, who sprouts a octopus on the top of his head: "...... ...There's a question that I want you to answer honestly."

Tsukasa transforms into a dog again, with her tail wagging eagerly: "Yeah, yeah, yeah. What? What? What?"

Taku: "The real reason you want to fight against Garyukai is it,"

Tsukasa, butting in: "That's obvious!"

Everyone in the room except for Ryuji has dots for eyes. Tsukasa suddenly has 4 other selves dressed in superhero attire.

Text at top: It's to protect the peace of the world!!

Text at the bottom: Crush that evil plot!! Oresama-five!! [Yeah, yeah, explanation. You guys know of Power Rangers right? Well in Japan, there are other similar 'groupie' things such as Flash-man [men?] and Go-Rangers. I don't remember the names... Anyways, there's often 5 people, usually represented by the 5 colours red, blue, green, yellow, pink. The yellow and pink people are often females, the rest are guys and the red one is usually the leader... If you're wondering about the term oresama it's a fancy way of saying "me" or "myself" that puts you above others. BTW, did you know that the Yellow Power Ranger is actually male in the Japanese version?]

Tsukasa looks Taku straight in the eye: "---The Kozuki blood in me is active, telling me to crush Garyukai."

Ikumi's words echo again: "---Because your sense of good/justice is almost as strong as ours---...---You're a strong one ---Tsukasa, go through with your sense of seigi---...!!"

Taku closes his eyes for a moment. "---...I see... I understand---..." {---In that case, then as a Kozuki I too must---...}

Back in the hallways.

Ryuji: "That was unexpected. That your aniki would consent like that so easily..."

Tsukasa: "Yeah... I'm a bit surprised too...... ...But his sudden change probably has to do with this love message from Mom and Dad!!" Her paws, muzzle and ears appear again as she dances in happiness. {I want to see it! I want to hurry and see it!! What did Mom and Dad..?}

Ryuji: "...... ...I'm still against it."

Tsukasa pauses for a moment: "...Against what?"

Ryuji: "That you're involved in this thing against Garyukai."

But Tsukasa isn't listening. "Mom~~~ Dad~~~ I want to see you now~~~!!"

Ryuji, with popped veins: "Listen will you!!?"

Back to Taku, Toshi and Sho.

Taku holds out another DVD in his hand. "---..."

Sho: "...Taku-nii... Isn't that...?"

Toshi: "The other DVD that was beside the one by Mom and Dad?"

Taku: "...N..."

Toshi: "You didn't give it to Tsukasa...?"

Taku: "N---... ...I... couldn't... Even if I gave it to her now I don't think she'll view it---..."

Sho: "...Aa... that's true..."

Toshi: "...She's more likely to throw it out right there, since it's a message from the 'Wakasa' she hates so much------..."
