Ace of Base, the Swedish pop quartet who conquered the world with their debut album Happy Nation/The Sign, is made up of siblings Jenny Berggren, Jonas Berggren, Linn Berggren, and close friend Ulf Ekberg.
Their debut album, released in the U.S. and Canada as The Sign in 1993, and everywhere else as Happy Nation in 1992, earned them the world record for best selling debut album ever. They took the world by storm with singles like "All That She Wants," "The Sign," "Happy Nation," and "Don't Turn Around." In fact, "The Sign" and "Don't Turn Around" weren't including on Happy Nation, but the songs did so well in the U.S. that later in 1993, a new version of the album was released in Europe and elsewhere outside the U.S. called "Happy Nation (U.S. Version)," which included tracks from the original Happy Nation plus three songs from The Sign, and a previously unreleased remix.
