Distephano was a good soilder of the USM. When the crew of the Betty and the rest of the USM's crew teamed up to escape, Distephano helped out a lot. When Wren trapped them with the aliens approaching and fled. Distephano kind of lost his loyalty to the USM. When Wren ordered Distephano later he wouldn't listen to his commands. When the newborn got onboard, Distephano's head was crushed in the Newborn's hands. He died of course.
