Elgyn was the chain-smoking captain of the Betty. With trademark Raspy voice and black trench coat, he was friends with General Perez. Elgyn had struck up the deal with Perez to sell him the hosts for the aliens. Elgyn didn't know that anything that bad would happen to them. He was suspicious of the whole transaction because Perez did the experiments out of regulated space and bought the workers in cash so there wouldn't be any trace of the transaction. When they were escaping the Auriga Elgyn strayed from the group and was pulled through the floor and bit through the spine by an alien. Death was instanious.
