Gediman was the doctor under Wren during the experiments. When the aliens misbehaived he sprayed Liquid Nitrogen on them. When the aliens escaped he went into the cell and looked to see where they went. The alien grabbed him and cocooneed him. Later on in the cocoon room with the queen the Newborn alien, shortly after birth, bit off Gediman's head.
