Kane volunteered to explore the derelict ship. He was impregnated by the alien facehugger. After the facehugger came off of him the crew asked him how he felt. He replied by saying "I had dreams of being smothered, being sufficated.". He died when the alien came through his chest while the crew was eating their last meal before they went back into hypersleep and back to earth.
