This man was the one who decided to "ressurect" Ripley to get the alien back. He is responsible for 7 defective Ripley clones. He is also responsible for the deaths of several civilians. During the escape, Christie layed down the law that everyone was to stick together. But during the escape Dr. Wren tricked Call into giving him her gun to break the lock open on the door. Instead, he shot call. He ran off and locked the doors behind him. He went to the betty and when call and the others arrived he held Call hostage. At this time they were attempting to put Purvis in a freezer (because of the alien inside of him), but Dr. Wren delayed him, and Purvis started having his convultions. Then Purvis, pissed off and dying, ran over to wren. Then he got shot and Purvis kept going. He decked Dr. Wren, and slammed Dr. Wren's head against the floor. Then to kill Wren, Purvis held Dr. Wren's head up against his chest, and the chestburster ripped it's way out of Purvis, and through Dr. Wren's head. Killing him instantly.
