My deepest sympathies and condolences go out
to the people of London, especially the victims of the terrorist
bombings on Thursday, 7 July 2005, and their families. The British
people have shown their customary fortitude and determination
under fire, and I am confident that the intelligence and law
enforcement authorities of Her Majesty's government will both
find and punish those responsible, and that Great Britain will
continue to stand as one of the pillars of freedom and the rule
of law in a world beseiged by violent extremists.
As Britain has stood with America, America stands
with you.
