I served as an Army photojournalist in Bosnia from March-Oct. 1999, writing for TALON magazine, winning five Keith L. Ware awards, the highest journalism award in the Army Reserve. You can find some of those stories here.

TORNADO + I was caught in a massive tornado that struck Tuscaloosa, Ala. on Dec. 16, 2000. I wrote a "what was it like?" story for the Northport Gazette newspaper.
