| Cleaning up the engine compartment |
| These pictures will show you how badly my battery tray was corroded, including the surrounding areas. The previous battery had leaked acid, which over the years created lots of rust holes. The brake fluid reservoir area was also slightly corroded from spilling brake fluid . |

| Here you will see the engine compartment with the engine removed ,it looked like a big mess ,and I was starting to have my doubts about this project .But I kept going step by step. I had to strip the paint with a wire brush and paint stripper ,cut out all rust and weld in new steel .Then it got finished up with a little body filler to make it look smooth .The engine compartment got the primed and painted with a protective coating . |
