The fact is‚ I’m not that a big fan of country music so when I found out I was reviewing this CD I wasn’t expecting much. However’ it wasn’t the horrible torture I was expecting. In fact at times I was pleasantly surprised.
It is definitely a country record so yes‚ it does have that certain sound nevertheless it worked brilliantly with “that voice”. Though a couple of times I did give a flinch. Chambers sets a picturesque scene of the country with not only her music but also her voice and lyrics. Despite its "twang" you could really hear the feeling. With the key tracks being Pony‚ Wayward Angel and For Sale‚ if your a fan of country music painting green hills ands blue skies I'd say you’d probably really enjoy this record. If not‚ I suggest you steer right away.
