This is Mr. Webb's "rocking" album, and it is. I love playing this at full volume, with the bass blasting as I drive down the road on a hot summer day. This album reflected things that happened in my life. Songs like Our Movie, which brings back memories of past loves and feelings long forgotten, or In Cars, which I'm sure reflects the experiences of lots of people. And how about Work For A Dollar? Doesn't just say everything? Let's not forget One Of The Few.
Angel Heart (3:23)
Ooohhh……Angel Heart
Angel Heart ..ooohhh…
When can we start
Can we have a go
Angel heart oh…
Oh, baby, you stole
mine
Send me back a Valentine
‘Cause I love you so
My Angel Heart
Ooohhh…Angel Heart
Angel heart…oh…
Don't let us part
Darlin let it grow
My Angel Heart oh
You own my heart and soul
Now I've lost all control
I just wanted you to know baby
Angel Heart
Angel Heart
First time I
saw you I
knew I was in
deep water I
need help I'm
going down
If you don’t come and save me, baby
I believe I’m gonna drown
Ooohhh…Angel Heart
Angel heart…ooohhh…
When can we start
Can we have a go
My Angel Heart…oh…
Oh baby, you stole
mine
Send me back a Valentine
‘Cause I love you so
Angel Heart
Ooohhh… Angel Heart
Oh my Angel Heart…ooohhh
Oh my Angel Heart wooo

God's Gift (3:51)
Life used to be
Such a beautiful thing
Eight months of summer
Four months of spring
But now you are changing
Girl, where have you been?
There’s a rain coming down
There’s a storm moving in
Now don’t start thinking
that you’re
God’s gift
Just because I love you
Don’t start thinking you’re
God’s gift
To me
When you were my prisoner
I treated you kind
When you were in need
And loving me blind
You'd better be careful,
Girl your gonna loose
Something you need
And get something you don’t
want
Now don’t start thinkin
you’re
God’s gift
Just because I love you
Don’t start thinkin your
God’s gift
To me

One Of The Few (4:27)
Rain
Upon my window
Twisting the light of day
Nothing much I can say
I guess we all pass this way
You know about man
His own jailor
Selfish and so unkind
Trapped in his frightened mind
Blind he leads the blind
And then there’s you
You are one of the few
Honest, courageous and true
For you I will always care
Honey you
you draw a different line
You always seem to shine
Tears don’t become your kind
Most
They play at living
Most never learn their names
Surely you see their games
Puppets strung up by chains
And then there’s you
You are one of the few
Honest, courageous and true
For you I'll always care
Honey you
you draw a different line
You always seem to shine
Tears don’t become your kind
For you
You are one of the few
Honest, courageous and true
For you I'll always care
Honey you,
You draw a different line
You always seem to shine
Tears don’t become your kind

Scissors Cut (4:41)
“If they ever drop
the bomb” you said
“I’ll find you in the flames”
But now we live like people
Who don’t know each other’s
names
Well sometimes it makes
me sad you know
Sometimes it makes me smile
‘Cause you know how the game
goes honey
We all eat it once in a while
Woa oh oh oh
Scissors cut
Paper covers rock
Breaks the shining scissor
You hurt me
I hurt her
And she goes
And he will miss her
Well I sure am glad
I found someone
I hope that you do too
But it’s gonna to take a lot
to fill
All the shoes of me and you
Now I look around at
people
Playing children’s games
And I wonder if you’re still
thinking
You might find me somewhere
in the flames….
Scissors cut
Paper covers rock
Breaks the shining scissor
You hurt me
I hurt her
And she goes
And he will miss her
Scissors cut
Paper covers rock
Breaks the shining scissor
You hurt me
I hurt her
And she goes
And he will miss her
Scissors cut
Paper covers rock
Breaks the shining scissor
You hurt me
I hurt her
And she goes
And he will miss her
Scissors cut
Paper covers rock
Breaks the shiny scissor
You hurt me now
I hurt her and she
She goes and he will miss her

Work For A Dollar (5:32)
I was born under a
B-36
I was part of the baby bomb
My daddy was a sandy land cotton farmer who plowed
the Book of John
He plowed the Book of John
My mama musta loved
that Book of John
She read it every day
And every time I see a sandy land farm I can still
hear mama say
I still hear mama say
You gotta
Work for a dollar
To earn a dime, Jimmy
You gotta
Work for a dollar
To earn a dime
They’ll take it from you every time
Mama went to heaven
in ‘64 I was alone in ‘65
Layin in a cheap California motel just trying to
stay alive
Trying to stay alive
And the years went
by and the money rolled in
And it came so easily
I almost forgot the original thought
My mama gave to me
Good God, my mama gave to me
Ya gotta
Work for a dollar
To earn a dime, Jimmy
Ya gotta
Work for a dollar
To earn a dime
They’ll take it from you every time
Now I’m supposed to
be a man and I got children if my own
And now I’ll be working at what I can
Until those kids are grown
Until those kids are grown
But they were born under a B-52 in a different kind
of war
And the bombs are bigger and the times are harder
I’ve seen it all before
I’ve seen it all before

His World (4:33)
Lightning and thunder
That's when there was a wind
A blowin cross the stage
It was all those fans
He was having a great
time
Lightning and thunder
He was singing something
About rock and roll
And we got high
We got so high
High with him
We got so high
We touched the sky
We were almost up there with
him
We were almost up there
In His world
Young God
With His firecrackers
But you've gotta laugh
You've gotta laugh
Those are some pretty funky
lookin angels up there
But you gotta move
When God's a rockin
And we got high
We got so high
High with him
We got so high
We touched the sky
We were almost up there
with him
We were almost up there
In His world

Our Movie (3:51)
Let’s make a movie
All about you
And all about me
The story of our lives
Directed by two
Produced for free
We don’t need no cast
No cameras on our, our movie
And the music
For our movie
Sweet sound of the radio
No ending
To our movie
We’ll put on quite a show
Sweet baby

And let the action flow
Just relax………….
My life was a movie
I’ve been searching for you
Through scene after scene
I’ve been searching all my life
Unfocused love
On a busy screen
We don’t need no parts
See, its written in our hearts

Nasty Love (4:26)
Black silk stockings
In the candlelight
Don’t think we’re gonna need
ol’ Johnny tonight
Let’s get this the first time,
yeah
Let’s try to get it right
so right
There’ll plenty of
what you want
You just tell me when you want
it there
There’ll be plenty of
What you need
There’ll be plenty of nasty
love
Do you wanna watch
me do it?
‘cause anything’s all right
with me
You can do just anything to
it
If you want me more than once
Oh well
And when it starts coming baby
It’ll be all right, it’ll be
all right
There’ll plenty of
what you want
You just tell me when ya want
it there
There’ll be plenty of what
you need
There’ll be plenty of nasty
love
Sweet little woman
You’ve packed my bags for the
flight
You know I’ll be leaving
With the coming of the light
But the next time I see you
baby
I’m gonna have you little girl
– look out
There’ll plenty of
What you want
You just tell me when ya
Want it there
There’ll be plenty of
What you need
There’ll be plenty of
Nasty love
There’ll plenty of
What you want
You just tell me when ya
Want it there
There’ll be plenty of
What you need
Nasty love
There’ll plenty of
What you want
You just tell me when ya
Want it there
There’ll be plenty of
What you need
There’ll be plenty of
Nasty love

In Cars (3:33)
Went to school in
cars
In our cars
Pretty girls
Crusin' after the game
Watchin radio
Let your baby know
In cars
Restaurant mobile
Two behind the wheel
Like double-necked guitars
In our cars
We fell in love
In cars
In our cars
At the show
Silhouettes on the glass
Memories in chrome
Take your baby home
In cars
Everything was warm
What a perfect form
Underneath the stars
In our cars
(I remember you
Everything was new)
In our cars
(Talking in the dark
Everything was true)
In our cars
(I remember...)
Ou ou ou ou ou
Ou ou ou
Ou ou
Ah ah ah ah

Red mud, thick as blood
The curiosity of slaves
Old wing mouth brings a Jesus
And he talks about how Jesus saves
He’s coming back to scare ya
He’ll be here have no fear
I’ll just hold on to this bottomland
‘Til God gets here
Old wing mouth
With his white straw hat and his sugarcane
The devil will be loosed upon the
earth again
Material possessions are the road
to hell
He came to do good and he did well
Dark skin, woman friend
The moonlight’s on the waves
He has not seen a woman
oohh..in a hundred and…a hundred and
ninety days
He’s gonna love her forever
He’ll love her with his pain
You might say he’s gonna love her
‘Til God comes back again
Old wing mouth
With his white straw hat and his sugarcane
The devil will be loosed upon the
earth again
Material possessions are the road
to hell
He came to do good and he did well.
