The Drug Lords vs the ATF A Crack Shack Game |
||||
Part I “This is the ATF! We have the building surrounded! Exit with your hands up!” “No chance you filthy bluesuits! You’ll never take us alive; you’ll have to come in and get us!” “This is your last chance, throw down your guns and give yourselves up!” “Never!” A barrage of projectiles tear apart the Crack Shack. Chris and I, the last of the drug lords take cover behind an overturned table as slugs whirl inches above our heads. Outside, four Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms Agents attempt to break down the door and light us up. I look up at Chris and proclaim, “We’re not gonna make it.” Part II Outside it is a beautiful Saturday afternoon. My friends and I are currently in the vicinity of the Forest Behind Nacac. It is in this grand forest that battles are fought on a weekly basis. These skirmishes are fought by self-proclaimed “weekend warriors”, who find happiness by shooting and being shot at by gelatin capsules traveling 300 feet per second (or more!) It is the first time that Mike, Kris and I have ever played here. All of our previous paintball experiences where at Marc Lemoi’s forest. We are now in the stomping grounds of eminent paintball sage Chris Rice and his cadre of veteran warriors. The fourth paintball game of the day has just begun. My team, the Drug Lords is comprised of four people, Chris Rice, Nelson Fonseca, Chad Corell, and myself. We all have semi-automatic guns except Chad, master of the talon pump gun. We are charged with protecting the Crack Shack from the other team, the ATF. The ATF consists of Mike Whildin, Kris Linton, Barry Schippang and Ryan Tuberty. Mike and Kris both have admirable Tippmann Model 98’s, arguable the best guns on the field, capable of firing 8 shots a second. Barry has a venerable Tippmann Pro-Carbine and Tuberty has a Brass Eagle Raptor. To be continued... |
