Dark Forest Old News October 19 The Cement Factory, which is actually an adandoned Iron Works, has been rediscovered! An address, and map of the paintball field have also been obtained. The Coplay Iron Works are above Whitehall, about a 20 minute ride from the Dark Forest. Though many believed the Dark Forest to be the supreme paintball field of the universe, this is no longer so. The Coplay Ironworks are far superior, approximately 7.11 times so. In addition, Coplay is 4.77 times larger (or more) than the Darl Forest. Though a game was planned for Sunday October 20th, it was cancelled because of the few people available. Perhaps there'll be a big game not this Wednesday, but the Saturday after (In November). October 10 We now have two suspects of who the wreckers are. To the surprise of most, they are neither construction workers, bikers or rebel paintball players. It is infact, if the allegation is correct a pair of Notre Dame seniors. they are named Chris and Matt are are "tall". October 7 The sniper post, crack villiage and Brad's bunker has been destroyed or at least damaged within a foot of their lives. There is a call going out for any available people to watch over the forest in this time of war. It is advised that you work in groups of two or more incase the marauders arrive in force. It is not yet known who has caused the damage, though college kids, bikers, construction workers and through walkers are some suspects. October 4 Hahaha, Freedom lost homecoming game by 1 point, also matt, cody, and mike got a construction worker to walk in their general direction. The bracelet has yet to be obtained, anyone who would like to volunteer to be an oprative, notify Dave Salazar as the crow flies. To Isengard! Though Isengard be ringed and barred with doors of stone; Though Isengard be strong and hard, as cold as stone and bare as bone, We go, we go, we go to war, to hew the stone and break the door; For bole and bough are burning now, the furnace roars- we go to war! To land of gloom with tramp of doom, with roll of drum, we come, we come! To Isengard with doom we come! With doom we come, with doom we come October 1 There's a $25 reward for anyone who finds a flipout Volkswagon key belonging to Mrs. Linton. the key was lost near the top of the forest, in the overgrown field where the top entrance is. Thursday there'll be a building day at the Forest to restore the Crack Village, which was destroyed by forces unknown. September 26 Happy Birthday Wilkie! Contrary to popular belief, neither Mike Whildin nor Abbie Agentis will play this Saturday. Sean Greco, Jamie McCorrison, Garrett Banks, and Barry Schippang are also unable to attend. The duel and battle scheduled will be postponed if neither person shows up. If only one person shows, the other's second in command will fight in their leave. September 23 This Saturday, there'll be a duel between Matt Palmer and Jim Grant. There'll also be a game between Jim's supporters and those that support Matt. Tuesday and Thursday there'll be people building trenches and treeforts at the Dark Forest. If you come to help, bring hammers and shovels if you can. September 22nd After an excellent day of paintball, everyone left in a good mood. The preparation area is better than ever before and the area has been scourged of trash. Also, Jamie is looking into getting reverable arm bands for $4, while Jim Grant is working on getting the fill station. Absent from today's festivities were Mike Whildin, Travis Graham, Nelson Fonseca, and Abbie Agentis among others. In other news, sides are forming for the coming conflict between Jim Grant and Matt Palmer. The minions are against Jim for not attacking three opponents when he was the last man on his team last week. Also, "time and time again he plays like a coward and messes the game up. Then he's all cocky and calls everyone else a pussy." Matt's opponents say he is scrawny and arrogant. Perhaps instead of fighting each other we could all unite against the bikers, or in their absence we could fight against the seriousness people take to when playing paintball. That and trash at the Forest. Destroy all of it. As Code-E says, "I mean its just a game, no one gets into fights over chess or anything" September 21st Jim Grant's father is in the process of obtaining a CO2 fill station. Once obtained, he'll need only a fill adaptor to be able to dispense CO2 to the Dark Forest masses. Reserve your spot of free CO2 by donating $4 to the fill adaptor drive. After today's building, the Dark Forest is on it's way to being rebuilt to it's previous glory of the Elder Days. Now if only the High Elves would return from the Grey Havens, things would again be like they were in the First Age. September 20th Nelson Fonseca of Cthulhu fame is planning his return to the Dark Forest this Sunday after being in Doylestown for college. September 19th Dave Salazar will be selling filled 9oz tanks at Sunday's game for $20 each. Soda will again be available for 25 cents a cup. Matt Palmer will be unable to play this Sunday because of work. Garrett will be able to play. Abbie Agentis is again planning on playing this Sunday. Joe Bell is not. Mrs. Lippy's car is green. This Saturday, people will come and build at the Dark Forest. If you wanna help (and you do doncha?) you can. Mike likes Abe Lincoln Brian Cassidy and Jon Ripa have agreed to take video and photographs of players in the Dark Forest in the near future, if you wanna be in them, be sure to come to every game. Slingshots, Soda, Soldiers & No Shows-Sunday Sept. 15 Rumor has it that Dave No, who recently broke his Brass Eagle Raptor, will play with a slingshot and paintbrush this Saturday. This Monday soda will be available for 25 cents a cup This Monday will also bring the arrival of three new players. Mith Rosenthal, Cody Dresher, Abbie Agentis and Serge Big are all scheduled to play this Saturday. To the dissapointment of everyone, Joe Bell will once again be a no show for the 78th time in a row. Joe stated that he would rather play golf Monday since there'll be less of a crowd. When it was pointed out to him that he could play golf anytime, while paintball can only be played once every two weeks Joe did a back flip and ran away. |
